Valero

They usually have frozen Dr. Pepper, any size for $1. I've lived in the area for 8 years and have purchased the frozen soft drinks for $1 many times, when the frozen drink machine is working as it is often broken. I pulled into the Valero yesterday as they had a large sign posted on a light post out by the street with a big picture of an Icee drink and $1 on the cup graphic. So when I went to pay, it was a $1.29. When I questioned that they're always $1 & that I saw the sign outside by the street that said they were $1, the cashier next to the cashier who was ringing up my purchase said, 'the sign says, starting at $1. The small Icees are $1.' Very misleading advertising. I will never buy another Icee there again and I will stop 2 blocks before Valero at Stripes and get my Icee for $1. Plus the Valero cashier ringing up my purchase barely spoke understandable English as she was from Vietnam or perhaps China. The other cashier had to repeat what my cashier was saying because her English was so bad. Also, this Valero has switched over to really really cheap styrofoam drink cups and even with the plastic bubble drink top placed securely around the rim, when you try to pick it up after having placed it in the cup holder between the front seats, the styrofoam squeezes together so much that the top pops of in an instant causing the slushy drink to fall out all over the place causing a big mess. I had to pull over to clean it all up. Completely annoying and total pain. I will never buy a frozen drink there again.
