Although I understood there was a 20% discount on the mattresses purchased, I suggested that the size of the order justified a further reduction. This was denied, as I understood the reason due to company policy and the Manager, Shaun did not have the authority to make any further reduction, even when I suggested I was prepared to walk out the door and visit Bensons Beds. The possible loss of this order did not appear to influence Shaun to negotiate an improved price. In fact a further two and a half percent would at least have shown me my business was valued.

Spent more than we wanted

We didn’t get greeted upon entering the store. The staff were hesitant to come and ask if we were ok and then stayed well away. We had to ask for help however it was quite nice to being surrounded. They also presented a bed (which I purchased) in a light oak colour and a darker colour. I brought the darker colour however they presented a bed side table matching with bed in the light colour but you didn’t stock the darker colour which means I have to find another brand which won’t match with my bed.

The Colleague did not listen adequately to my request and gave me the sales talk that it appeared he would give to anyone entering the store. I felt bulldozed into purchasing a more expensive item than I had intended.

Assistant seemed more interested in sorting out background music in the store but was helpful when he eventually came to serve me

I did a fair amount of research for a mattress including Which? and customer reviews and wanted a particular Eve mattress. The store assistant immediately tried to get me away from this product and onto a Dreams mattress which was a totally different construction. The bias was obvious and I would have resented this except that the assistant was very friendly and amusing but, in the end, I ordered what I wanted.

Ian was helpful and personable, I felt satisfied with my purchase.
