Dreams - Crawley

It wasn't until after the order was processed that we were told that the item wouldn't be delivered until September, despite being advised that it would only be "a few weeks". The bed we were buying was part of a stock clearance sale so you would have thought that this would be readily available - I will think twice now about purchasing from the Crawley branch again. Also, the sales assistant seemed to be hacked off that we were asking questions and were undecided, it was visible on his face and he looked like he was sulking whenever we asked additional questions. We spent over £3,000 on a bed which I feel is a material amount so surely it is understandable to ask question before making such a commitment? He also advised that he would do his utmost to ensure that the delivery date will be brought forward, we have had no such contact regarding this, so I guess this was just part of his aggressive sales approach.

I SPENT £1,427.20P in the store on a bed including having to pay to have it delivered. I was surprised to find that another £39.00 was required to remove the old bed as well. I now realise that other companies include the removal of the old bed in their purchase price. As we are Senior citizens my husband being seventy five we could not recommend your company to our friends as they would need help to remove the old beds. We are awaiting the arrival of our new bed and I trust this will be taken to our bedroom and set up for us! We are looking to purchase a single bed but we will not be coming to Dreams again. We shall be approaching other Companies now.

Satisfied with products, showroom staff etc. but not satisfied that the product we wanted was not available in store to take away and we would be waiting a couple of weeks for it. However, in this particular case we were in no particular hurry for the mattress but would have been disappointed had it been required straightaway. However, this would not deter us from buying from Dreams in the future. We have bought numerous items from Dreams in the past.

Found the assistant could have been friendlier. Was told delivery was £39.00 (or thereabouts). I mentioned that it says on line it was free. The assistant then said that this was only to the door and not to the room. When I said I would just take delivery to the door, she eventually said it would be to the room after all. Feel she was trying to 'con' me to pay the delivery charge when it should have been free all along

It was just satisfactory - nothing special

The particular mattress we had come to see, try and probably buy was not in stock. This resulted in us buying a more expensive mattress than envisaged. However the mattress we bought is a good one and the salesman had good product knowledge.

The price of the bed and mattress were competitive with other stores so we decided to place our order but by then we did not feel we had any option but to pay what we considered, a very expensive delivery charge. When spending a lot of money on a bed the cost of delivery is a smaller percentage of the overall cost but when spending what we did it seemed very expensive.

No particular reason - staff were very helpful when needed and allowed plenty of time to try different beds and provide more information when necessary.

Tried a mattress when we walked in and were shown more expensive mattresses which we didn't find as comfortable, this made us fell the salesman was more interested in his commission than the customers, we saw through this and purchased the one we tried before the salesman came over.
