Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens

It was absolutely great!!

Baby hippo!! Love this zoo

I saw lots of great animals, and the staff was nice. There were lots of people, but I didn't feel too crowded.

I loved it!!! This was my second time and it was awesome

The zoo was great, but a large number of exhibits were closed

The zoo opens at 10am everyday and I try to get there by 11am to beat the crowds and find a space. However coming this early all the animals are usually being fed and napping. Also there is always at least 2 exhibits closed every time we go.

My daughter loves the zoo!

The animals look healthier compared to ten years ago

Seemed like there was a lot of closed exhibits. I would have liked to see some information about what was coming up. Also the map was outdated so that was a bit confusing. Several habitats were set up contrary to the posted requirements if the animal, and that was disappointing. Overall, the zoo was very nice with a wide variety of animals.

No tigers, no polar bears, no elephants. During daylight savings, the zoo should stay open until 7 that way you can see ALL the animals, whether nocturnal or not.
