Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Ok trip to the zoo. A lot of the areas had no animals or just one of that animal. It was a fun trip though. The staff is very nice and friendly. I just wish there were more animals. I am comparing this zoo to the San Diego zoo which seemed a lot better.

I felt that this zoo really didn't have many animals. I did like the Halloween activities they had for the kids. The food tasted good. The price for tickets was also good.

I visited the zoo with a 3 year old and a 1 year old on a very hot, summer day. We appreciated the misters but really wished for more shade. The playground was really great with lots of shade. The padded ground needed some upkeep but I was happy that there wasn't wood chips. We are lunch near the giraffes with a wonderful view. The food and drinks are Disneyland prices so with entry and food we spent almost $100. The price is really unfortunate as we likely won't return for another year, if ever. It felt like a wild goose chase to see elephants. I am really horrified at the behavior of the other zoo patrons. There was someone hollering at the animals at each exhibit. I saw families banging on the glass next to a resting gorilla until he finally got up and left the window. It hurts to see animals tormented in such a beautiful zoo. It's the best zoo I've been to but I really wish there were more people to police the animal abusers. It was an expensive day that left me feeling sad for the animals simply because of how mean people were to the animals. Please hire more staff to regulate.

Sooo many bees! It was so hot that there needs to be more misters on.

Went to see night lights

went for Zoo Lights I dont feel the event was worth the admission price, especially seeing that the Christmas lights drive thru event previously wasn't as expensive for a family to see.

Animal viewing was not great.
