I highly enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree this weekend as I was in town to see a local band called the Old 97's. I was really impressed by the manager that was working this weekend especially after I witnessed her diffuse a situation with some unruly guests. As I was relaxing in the lobby bar, several highly intoxicated guests arrived and had a problem with the hotel shuttle. Turns out that one of those hotel guests became sick in the van from too much booze at some local event. Stefanie Horne (the manager) addressed the situation very professionally and with ease. At the end of the conversation, everyone was smiling and happy with the outcome and each went in their respective ways. Afterwards Stefanie continued walking around the lobby and eventually came into the bar area to say hello to all of the guests. I then had the opportunity to speak with her and give her kudos for how she handled the unruly guests just minutes earlier. She thanked me and apologized for their actions which was not need but appreciated. Stefanie then told me to have a great stay and to feel free to contact her if there was anything that I needed while I stayed at the hotel. I was then presented with a Doubletree cookie which absolutely made my weekend. Thank you very much Doubletree and keep up the great work!!! I wish I had more employees like Stefanie Horne who goes the extra mile to make sure the customers stay is unforgettable!!!
