Steak 'n Shake

Food was delicious but restaurant was dirty. Staff was extremely slow and unfriendly. We finished our meal before we got our shakes, which we ordered first.

My family visited Steak 'n Shake last night as a final dinner together before we sent my cousin, a new sailor, off to his naval base. When we entered the restaurant, the waitress at the podium looked like she was going to have a stroke when she saw our party of 7 and told us it was going to be a long wait. I started moving our party over to the nearby steakhouse when another waitress came by and gestured to the frazzled waitress to calm down before proceeding to push two tables together to accommodate our party. We stayed to eat and most of the food was enjoyed by all parties. However, I ordered a side of vegetable soup which had inedible levels of salt. Normally, I add salt to my food. Other members of my party also found it to be inedible. The waitress took the soup off our tab and told me "they probably didn't add enough water to it". Gross.

I waited so long my fries were cold before I got to the car. That was because I was waiting on a shake.

First time I ever tried this place and will for sure be the last! Got there a little after nine o clock since that's when gurnee closed! Didn't get a server till around 10:15 pm after I had to ask for one! Seen other people sit down after me and left before I even got served! Worst service I have ever experienced! Food wasn't even hot when I got it! Then it took about 10 mins just to pay as everybody just kept looking at me!

Horrible service, rude manager!

Really bad service- too many things went wrong on our visit.
