the service was really slow and the first time the food came out it was made completely wrong.

The service here was non existent. We waited a while to be seated and then sat there for about 20 minutes and no one even asked what we wanted for drinks. We left without ordering anything. Don't know if we will be back to this location.

Terrible experience

well this is a terrible place. the absolute worst service I've ever seen in my life and it never changes. when I walked in every single table was dirty my server was clearly high on something. 3 workers saw me and my friends walk in and ignored us and pretended as if they were busy. one girl was literally sitting at the counter on her phone, the server was telling someone else "do you want them?" and the last server said absolutely not and continued to pretend clean the place. our food took what felt a decade to arrive and we couldn't even enjoy our shakes with our food because they came THIRTY minutes after our food. I know many people have left a lot of bad reviews for this place because the service is terrible but it just progressively gets worse and worse each time, I could only hope the kitchen at minimum is clean because my fries were cold and overly salted, my burger was extremely undercooked, the only good thing was the shake which I waited an hour and a half for. terrible place.

The absolute slowest service. The waiters and waitresses stared at me when I walked in as if I was crazy for coming inside. They did not check on us at all and were shocked when we didn't leave a good tip and gave mass amounts of attitude.

slow service. I got in the restaurant was full and the cook had no burgers on the grill and was only cooking 4 at a time when he decided to. I stood at the register to order and waited ten minutes before the cashier even acknowledged my existence and even though said I had a complicated order when my only request was the burger would be plain. my food was good but also room temperature. I love Steak 'n Shake but I didn't love my last visit.
