Steak 'n Shake

I tagged along to steak and shake with my friends even though I wasn't eating. Our waitress was super friendly, but too much so. She chatted our ears off about conspiracy theory stuff most of the time we were there which really made for a bad experience. We just wanted to chat with each other and have a good time, but instead had to listen to her rant about some conspiracy theory on cows because we didn't want to be rude to her.

Burger was not prepared the way I ordered. The wrapper inside next to the burger had ketchup and mustard on it. It was 2:30 in the morning so it's not like they were busy---didn't notice until I got back to work.

My grilled hot dog was still cold, my mother never got a drink refill, and we had to wait 25 extra minutes after we had eaten and paid because the milkshakes we ordered to go were left to melt on the counter in the back while everyone worked on food prep. Also, none of the employees in the kitchen had on hair nets and only 2-3 wore hats. One of the managers had very teased, flyaway hair and had her eyeglasses perched on top of her head - one can only assume she would have had to touch her hair every time she needed the glasses. And she was working in the kitchen!

Service was very slow and the waiters were all very unfriendly.

This was absolutely the worse Steak n Shake experience that I have ever had. The staff was rude the service was slow the fries tasted absolutely terrible the burgers were tiny and since the food was such a disappointment we felt we paid too much. My waitress Sydney took over 20 minutes to bring me a water, I had my food for a good 5 minutes before she ever came by my table and I got a chance to ask her for the water that she hadn't brought me yet. She wasn't friendly at all, and told me the dressing for my salad would come on the side, but it came on my salad and there was too much on it. She had to replace it. I will not eat there again if she is my waitress. My regular waitress Steph has always treated me and my friends well and I think she is great. Next time I go back I will be asking for her table.

It was terrible. Waited 45 minutes for my food and never got my shake nor did I receive and napkins. Had to ask for a manager for napkins. Never going to recommend to anyone!!!!

I went to steak and shake to meet a friend for dinner. Since I got there first I waited to be greeted (the sign said please wait to be seated). Nobody ever greeted me or came to seat me. After about 7 minutes of me waiting to get a table another lady came in with her daughter and a server seated them almost immediately but then returned to the kitchen instead of seating me. I waited for another 3 minutes then left and told my friend we would have to meet somewhere else for dinner. There were probably 4 or 5 open tables at the time I went in for dinner.
