I just didn't enjoy the cookie butter shake. It was a weird consistency and mix of rich flavors.

This started out as a bad experience but then changed for the better. I visited the drive thru at the 2355 North Point Ct, Alpharetta, GA 30022 location and was told it would be a while and I could wait or come inside to order. I said I would wait thinking it would be maybe a few minutes (knowing that Steak N Shake has longer wait times but it worth it). After about 2 minutes of waiting at the speaker, I pulled up to the window. It turns out there was a car in front of me waiting as well. After about 5 minutes more minutes l, neither of us had been served nor was anyone at the window to communicate what was going on. Then a steak n shake employees came out with a head set on, gave a person in s parked car their food, chatted for several more minutes and the proceeded to smoke a cigarette right in the eye view of the two cars (myself and the lady in front of me). I have worked in customer service and at fast food place and there is such a thing as "back of the house"-- there are certain things a customer should not see. By this point I was livid, and back off and sped off past him. I am 39 years old and have never seen a person working the drive thru leave to smoke a cigarette and not have another employee take over while they were on break---what is going on? Alpharetta is a nice city and I would hope the manager or owner would have enough money to hire a second drive thru employee for over night Especially since they are a 24 hours establishment and get quite a bit of business tonight. This is my second bad experience at this steak and shake and I will not be back. My son still want to Steak N Shake so I went to the location in Sandy Springs, Ga. They save the day otherwise I would never think of going back to this place.
