Steak 'n Shake

This location is always busy, with that being said, I have worked @ convientstores for over 23 yrs. so I know alilbit about customer service. The server/cashier was rude, and food took so long I just requested a refund. Simply because for the most part, all I sat n watched thru that window for 7 or more minutes.

I hate this Steak 'n Shake because it's always slow and always dirty. I'm never coming back.

We went to Steak and Shake on Hwy 64, Bartlett, TN at 10:05 pm, after a theatre production. We walked in and here were 5 tables of people. None of them had ordered yet. NO ONE greeted us and there were 4 employees standing at the registers. NO servers were spotted in the dining area. We asked the manager if we seated ourselves. He said "I don't know" and proceeded to get us menus. We then asked if there were any servers. He said "I don't know were they are." We asked if it would be a long wait for food. He said "I don't know. Probably. I don't know where the servers are". In the meantime, another table of customers walked up to the manager and asked the same questions about the servers. The manager said " I don't know". We walked out of the restaurant and went somewhere else. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! We will not be back to this Steak and Shake.

We had the absolutely worse experience ever. The young lady who took my order was not friendly at all. The food set in the window while another waitress stood in front of the window playing with her hair. When I told the manager about it he said he would talk to her about it and get some fresh chilling.... But he didn't do anything and never came back over to see if everything was ok. Someone finally brought the same chilli to us that had been sitting in the window for a long time. The food was cold and service was cold too. I will never go back that Steak & Shake.

I was in the drive thru for over 30 minutes. When I finally got up on the window to get my order it was wrong. I guess the long wait lead to cold fries. I had to send my order back and wait even longer. The only plus to this is that my daughter really enjoyed her chicken tenders. They also did not give me the condiments I requested. Not sure how I can convince myself to ever return or send my kids through this experience again.

We waited in a very long drive they line for quite awhile before moving onto a different restaurant

Waited for 30 minutes in the drive through and didn't even get to give my order. I left!

There were 5 cars in front of me and it took 35 minutes until I got to the window and had my food. They were incredibly slow.
