I waited in line for over thirty minutes in the drive thru. I should have left, but I know that's not the right thing to do. My shake was melted at that point and I do not wish to return any time soon

It shouldn't take 15 minutes before someone realizes you haven't been waited on and another 24 after you place your order to be served a burger and onion rings folks. In all fairness, most of my visits to Steak 'n Shake are great though. Not sure what the issue was that day.

It took over 35 minutes to get our food. We had three small children, who was Hungary and tired. Then it took out waitress about 15 min to take our dessert order. Restaurant. Was not crowded.

Great food but bad service. Took a long tune to get food and server did not come back to see if we needed anything until she brought the bill
