I felt I paid too much for this zoo considering a lot of animal areas were closed

The variety of animals is amazing! I would recommend the tiger exhibit because it's amazing how it is designed and what the tigers can do with it. The staff went both ways on the scale of politeness, some were very polite and the others were rude and just acted like they didn't want to be there which I understand but you still have to be polite and do your job.
