My wife ordered chicken strips and asked for some additional gravy. I ordered chicken fried steak. Another waitress brought our food and my noticed she had no gravy with her meal or on the mashed potatoes? She mentioned this to the waitress as well as asking again for some additional gravy. The waitress brought a small bowl of gravy and another small pitcher with gravy. Our original waitress brought our bill and I noticed that we had been charged an additional $.79 for extra gravy. I questioned her about this and she said this was normal restaurant policy. We indicated that there was not gravy to begin with on our original order. She made the correction and removed the $.79, but appeared annoyed with our request. We tried to explain our position and just wanted an explanation. She walked away and again appeared annoyed with our request. It is not the amount, its the reason and the attitude We eat at Shari's a lot and have never had to pay for extra anything. Even if that is your policy why is not explained ahead of time?

Hot coffee is proity one, for successful resturant bussiness, I learned this in 1979, when I worked at Red Lion Spokane valley, We served 200 to 300 per day convention center. I alays took home 20 to 30 dolllard a day in tips. Because the coffee was hot and friendly curtious service with a quality product for the cost.

I tried to use a $5 off $20 coupon and was told they do not accept coupons on holidays. No where on the coupon did it specify what days you could use it. I specifically went to Shari's for breakfast on Christmas because I had this coupon. It seems every time I go to this location I leave disappointed in service and price.

The food was lukewarm when I received it. The salmon was a bit overcooked and did not taste like "lemon pepper" as the menu described. I would prefer less oil on the seasonal veggies.

The host who sat us didn't ask about drinks & we were left without another word. When Reina showed to inquire about our order she wasn't smiling & seemed disinterested. She did not greet or introduce herself. My 4 year old asked for french toast for & when i inquired about options. Reina flat out told us no. We weren't given any alternatives. She cut me off mid sentence & moved on to my boyfriends food. I had to catch her before she walked away to order my own food. Upsetting how quickly she shut us down. Very rude. Ordered food we didn't want to avoid conflict. It was only after we ordered she asked about our drinks. Another employee brought us our food. Overall the food was good. Except B&G that was cold & hard. Reina didn't return for a while. When eating she was sat 2 tables. Most upsetting was she smiling & conversing with them. Gave options & suggesting items. None of any that we got. She offered a smaller portion of french toast to another table but refused to do so for us. Unpleasant experience that could have been avoided had Reina treated us with care. My 4yr old was the youngest in her section & I felt that had influenced the visit

Omelet came with cheese on top, not inside. When I requested the cheese be put inside the omelet, they put a very small amount inside and then more on top.

I ordered steak prepared medium. It was very rare and I could not eat it. Traded dishes with my wife. They ran out of "soup of the day" on menu; we ordered a different soup. Waitress forgot to bring that soup. When I requested the second soup selection I was told they were also out of that soup. I was offered a bread roll in it's place; as I did not car for the 3rd soup choice. It was close to 8:00 pm when we ordered our meal (for 3 persons) I cannot fathom why they would run out of a menu item "soup of the day that early in the evening. We reside in California, but frequent Oregon often. Sherri's used to be a favorite stop for us. It's a shame that this type of issue seems to happen more and more frequently. Thank you.
