A lady at the next table was moving a huge baby carriage back and forth to calm the baby and it was making me nauseous. kind of seasick watching the constant motion. I asked our server, Reina, if she could ask the lady to stop doing that. She replied: "Would you rather be nauseous or listen to the baby cry?" I could think of another alternative that would make everybody happy---just move us to another table...it's not like we'd even gotten any food yet. But she didn't care enough to give it a moment's thought. Fine, no tip for her today.

We had to hail someone down at least three times to get our service, right down to the check.

For the 2nd time at Shari's, we waited a very long time to be seated. Then a long wait until we finally got someone to wait on us -- we flagged someone down (Kim). She took great care of us. Apparently the table was supposed to be someone elses and she wasn't too happy. Sort of awkward. The last time we came to Shari's, we waited over 10 minutes to be seated -- and we finally walked next door to Red Robin. It seems there needs to be better organization in seating people. We really aren't crabby old people -- usually. Hoping for a better experience next time! Rant over!

Went to the restaurant to pick up quiche that I ordered two days prior. The restaurant was not that full but all servers were seems to be super busy and we were ignored. Patrons waited to be seated lined up, no one in charge to at least greet them. Had to wait long time when finally my turn, I asked the lady who helped me how to prep/cook this food but she did not know, had to wait til she got to someone and this person just handed me a card. Went home, tried to bake it as instructed, took the pie out of the plastic container and chunk of crust fell off.

I received amazing service from Peggy through out. Halfway through I noticed hair on my eggs. Peggy took it away and apologize. I finished my cannoli since it was on a separate plate. Peggy give us the receipt and competed my entire entree. I was very pleased and not expecting it. As Peggy is rining us up the assistant manager Christin storms up and says nope I need to add $6 back on since you ate the cannoli. I said no I would pay the amount on my receipt. She was so angry and throwing her keys around and yelling at Peggy. Being very unprofessional. Meanwhile there is 15 people in line waiting to be seated.

Our server, Mandy, was colder than the food. She bordered on rude at best. I felt as though restocking tables was more important than the human customers, and that we were simply in her way. Sadly, we had been looking forward to topping off our dinner with pie, however she quickly dropped out ticket at our table without so much as a mention of anything else, or even a closing phrase.

I was served cold coffee. The waitress said she was sorry but that she has no way of knowing whether the coffee is hot, as apparently it taken off the burner/warmer and put into a thermos. Unacceptable! She made a fresh pot but by the time she brought me my coffee I had already finished my desert, which I had ordered it for. Then she did not even take the coffee off my order. Also, the prime rib penne pasta had a great deal of grizzle and fat on the meat. A customer is not paying for grizzle and fat, but meat. I related to the manager that the cook should trim the fat off before including it in a pasta dish, and said the same to the waitress. I was absolutely floored when both of them said to me "some of our customers like it that way, with the fat." It is one thing to have fat on a piece of meat on a plate that can be trimmed away, and another entirely to have it in a pasta dish. This is completely unacceptable and a quite disappointing dining experience.

We ordered a 6 oz Top Sirloin meal with baked potato and mixed vegetables, and a cheeseburger. Both wife and I requested no seasoning particularly pepper be used on the steak as I have oral sensitivity due to radiation treatments. Server acknowledged understanding. She brought my wifes cheeseburger and apologized that the steak had pepper and seasonings on it and a new one was being prepared. When server brought the steak meal, the other items, potato, vegetables, all were very cold. I ate three bites then waited quietly while my wife finished her meal. I then requested a to go container to take my dinner home and finish cooking it. The dismal experience continued with the server vacuuming the section we were seated in We have been Sharis customers for decades now, and by far this was the worst meal experience I have ever had at Sharis, or any other restaurant for that matter. We will be hard pressed to return to a Sharis any time soon.
