The waitress took our order but never refilled our drinks. One of us had to get back to work and when asked to split our bill she said she was too busy and would do it when she had time. She also forgot the pie slice we ordered. I left with out paying to take him to work so he wouldn't be later then he already was. Then I came back to pay. She was kind of offensive when I asked for help. Like it wasn't her job. Terrible service and the food was cold. The soup was warm.

We did not get water to drink like we always do. I had to ask for it. When I ordered my buffalo wings they were just thrown at me with no appearance at all.. no lettuce and no ranch as well as no celery only 6 piece wings! They looked not appetizing At all. I asked if they can fix my order and they gave me an attitude! Also they never came not even once to check how everything was like they always do. I'm a rewards member and been here often but I feel like today was a big no no!

After we were seated it took 15 minutes for us to get water to drink. The waiter walked by us 4 times before we got up to ask him if he could take our order. I watched the cook wipe his nose several times while cooking. We saw our food sit on the counter for about 10 minutes before we revieced it. It was cold. There was not many people in there eating and only 1 waiter and a cook. Really???

Service was almost non existent, took 10 minutes to get seated although many tables available. Greeter was rude. Once sat service was slow 15 minutes to order. Then server visited with people at counter 5 minutes before entering our order. Food sat in window 6-8 minutes before what appeared to be manager brought it to us. No one checked back. No water refills. No can we get you anything else. A male server was busy doing prep work and clearing tables but was also told to do this and do that. Our server in red shirt no name tag was busy visiting with cook and keep saying I'm off the floor. We waited 15 minutes after finishing our meal and again no one checked in on us or brought our check. As we went to pay the lady in red said oh I was just coming. While paying I meant ion we had crappy service and she said yes you did. Everyone else was offered free Wednesday pie. Not us. Three people who came in after us, got food before us, got pie and left without paying. They appeared to be very familiar with lady in red and the guy actually was helping him self behind the bar and taking food out of window to tables. If you want more info call. 541-490-1537

arrived @ 18:10 waited til 18:25 to be seated (many open tables). Finally got our own menus and self seated. Ignored by wait staff until 1840 asked for water ignored. Finally got water at nearly 1900 Took order. Food was quite poorly prepared, Pot Roast meat was VERY hot, potatoes and vege were refrig cold. Wife's salad was poorly thrown together some hot some cold. Waitress didn't return until she dropped off Check and took pie order which she got my wife's order wrong. Couple of weeks ago we got the WORST Prime Rib EVER i was unfit to eat. Left it with no comment from the manager. Service and quality have gone slowlly down hill since our return 5 months ago after 10 years boycott. We eat at Shari's nearly 15 times a month. We've asked to talk to the GM several times with NO response and even left phone number, 541386-6220 for them to call. We may start a new 10 year boycott .

We waited 50 minutes to receive our order and then it was wrong even though I clearly showed the waitress in the menu what I wanted, also the nachos were cold. She did not come back to refill our drinks, I had to get up and get the extra plate I ask her for. We ended up giving them the food back and we drove 40 miles to Denney's in The Dalles. The service was terrible including the manager. The table next to us were there when we arrived and they got up and left because no one came to take their order. We have lived in Hood River all of our lives and we love to go there but the night time service is a nightmare.The last time we were there it was the same cook and she sent me out the heal of the bread for my toast. That time we waited an hour and a half from the time we got there until the time we got our food.I had to get up and get my toast, my dads dinner roll, and the lady with me had to go get the waitress to even take our order.. So from now on we will drive the extra 40 miles to Denney's not because we want to but because it is to frustrating to keep going through this... We eat at Shari's in Troutdale, Gresham, The Dalles and many other places with no troubles. Thank You

Two waitresses, two cooks. Very few customers, maybe 10 -12 at most, including us. Everyone seemed to be in slow motion. Took at least 5 minutes for the waitress to take our order from the senior menu. It took another 5 minutes to receive our salads. During this time, all staff seemed to have disappeared, maybe were in kitchen or on break or ??? The phone rang at least 12-15 times, and no one answered it. Finally we got our salads. The blue cheese dressing had little blue cheese in it, other than that the salad was good. Then the waitress brought the seafood platter and the grilled salmon. The shrimp had not been cooked at a high temp because the breading fell off of them and they were only warm, not hot. The fish patty was not hot. The mashed potatoes were not hot. The salmon was ok, but looked like it had been under the heat lamp too long and was getting dried out. Not presented well, no decorative touches on either dish (lettuce, garnish, etc). No lemon for fish. In fact, I have a pic of the salmon I can share. I don't think the cooks had any idea how to cook or present the food on a plate.

Christmas evening - very busy but understaffed. From being seated to being served took 1 1/2 hours. By then, the dinners we received were cold and missing portions (no cranberry sauce as shown in the menu and my daughter's Cod and Shrimp dinner had no shrimp; my wife's dinner was sent back for reheating but when it was returned it was no warmer at all). Several in the staff were new hires still learning the ropes - a poor time to use newcomers during a challenging business day. That said, they were all cheerful, positive, apologetic and did their best under the difficult circumstances. I left my highest percentage tip ever - they really earned it.
