Servers never asked any of us what we wanted to drink, they just handed us the menus and water and then disappeared. When a server was passing by, I asked if I could get a coffee, server never asked if anyone else wanted something to drink but brought me a coffee and disappeared again, no cream or sugar. 5 minutes later they took our order and promptly brought us our food, which I really appreciated. Not once did the servers return to ask if there was anything else they could get for us, no coffee refill, nothing! My mother in law had to physically get up to find a server anytime she needed something. Once we were done with our meal we had to go to the front to request boxes and the check. Overall very dissatisfied with the service today considering the fact that we could've chosen from 50 other places in town to spend our money. I always leave tips everywhere I eat, but today was the first time I felt that my server didn't deserve a tip.

Paul brought us two cups of coffee before we ordered. My coffee cup had coffee stains all down the side, and could tell where lips were. We thought at first that he spilled it over the sides when he brought it, but it was hard. He told me the cups were under the coffee pot, therefore the stains. I told him I didn't want it and not to charge me, to bring me water. I could tell that he did not want to, but eventually he did. Knapkins were dirty, took about 15 minutes to get clean ones. The omelettes and hashbrowns seemed to be cooked in a lot of grease. The melted cheese looked like it had been there awhile. Paul checked back several times, but always seemed rushed. No variety of jam for toast, only the little cup brought out on plate, about two tablespoons. Was not offered what kind of jam I would like.

Our waiter stated that “we were big girls and could pour our own drinks.” He also confused our order because we ordered the sample platter and he thought it only included two items. He brought the food out and forgot part of my meal. He also mumbled throughout the whole visit and it was very hard to understand him. The only time we received good service was when two other waiters came and served us.

I had gone on line the day before pick up to order 7 pies, specified a pick up time and arrived about half an hour after the pick up time. The pies were not ready and they did not have all of the types of pie that I had requested, so I had to substitute with a flavor that I really did not want. There was no apology and I was told if I do a big pie order on line I need to call management the morning of to make sure they are set aside. If order ahead I would expect the order to be filled before I arrived at pick up time to make sure what was requested was there. I paid for the pies before I was told they could not provide everything I ordered, which required the substitution.

I explained to server that I am allergic to wheat and I was assured that the hashbrowns would not be a problem. However, very shortly after leaving, I began an allergic reaction to something from the meal. I called and talked to the manager and explained what was going on with me. He never once said anything about being sorry, but rather insisted that there was no way that my meal would be contaminated by what was being cooked on the same cooking surface. However, I did have a reaction to something in the meal. What bothered me the most was his lack of concern for the situation.

Took a very long time to get a waiter to the table. Although the food came out very quickly, my son's pancakes were very dark - almost burnt and my husband ordered the strawberry crepes but what he received was to pancakes stuffed and rolled up. As the food was being set on the table I mentioned both issues. The waiter was glib and sarcastic, the manager had brought the food with the waiter so clearly saw the food and heard my comments. He turned and left. The waiter offered to have the pancakes recooked but insisted the pancakes stuffed with strawberries were correct. His comment was something about this is how the are made in America. We eat at the Woodburn Shari's quite often and have ordered the crepes many times. They have always been wonderful. We did not receive the drink order and waiter never once came back to check on us so my husband finally got up and went to the counter to get the drink.

First, we asked for water for my nephew and we didn't get it. We ended up having to ask again. Second, when they brought out the food, they screwed up on my order. I had ordered a mushroom burger with tater tots and mozarella sticks on the side. They brought me fries instead and no mozarella sticks. Then once that got fixed somewhat, our waitress then forgot to bring my son's water when she finally got water for nephew. My burger was way overdone and hard to eat. This is the worse experience I have ever had Shari's, and am not sure I will returning to this one, which happens to be the closest to my house.

I have repeatedly talked to Sharis managers about their problem of serving very tough and tasteless vegetables at no avail. In the Willamette Valley we grow premium snap beans, corn, carrots and all other vegies. For some reason Sharis is ruining them during the cooking process.
