I explained to the server that I had a coupon and what the coupons were for. Based on our order the server could have offered to adjust the order for us as customers to utilized the coupon and have additional free items. To be fair the server did order our order exactly as we described it. However, upon placing the order and it being prepared I realized how we could of had a decreased bill, and used the coupon, and actually received some good will free items. We actually went to the restaurant to specifically use the coupons. This is really a minor issue and no real fault of the server. It merely describes the difference between good service and excellent service. The coffee urn was half full upon arrival and we had to ask for it to be replenished instead of being asked if we could use some more when the server came to the table. Also, the server did not put condiments (ketchup, hot sauce) on the table prior to the arrival of the food. Nor did she ask if we wanted any. As a former server I would usually ask a customer prior to food arrival and or just put it on the table as a part of excellent service. Also, the server did not ask if we wanted anything further such as dessert.

Had to wait too long to be seated

It was a long wait before anyone came up front too greet and seat us. I think they were just understaffed. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. My Shari Sampler was good except for undercooked hashbrowns. His club sandwich was tasty and filling. We were in a lunch rush, but after checking the menu at home-we will return to try some tasty looking items.

I think the slice of pie should be warmed up more. Also, the price of an icecream scoop isn't worth it.

The restaurant was crowed ("free" pie night) and by all appearances it was short of staff. After a considerable amount of time our meals did arrive. However, one person at our table received his steak under cooked along with a cold backed potato, which he sent back to have it corrected. We did understand the delay (crowed restaurant) but did not understand a cold food order. My bill included a cup of coffee, which we did not order as we don't drink coffee. This was explained as there was a need to order a regular drink to receive a "free" slice of pie, something that we did not know. My Shari's Cafe Club card could not be entered for some unknown reason. Yet, we have been going here for years and will continue to do so, just not on free pie night.

My wife and I enjoy visiting Shari’s, particularly the one in Rohnert Park, CA, since there is unfortunately no Shari’s yet in our hometown, Stockton, CA. At our visit on July 26 I experienced some disappointments: *We mostly go there for breakfast, and I noticed that the new menu relegates the breakfast section to the back of the menu. Is this a planned reduction in emphasis?? Would be sad! *The previously nicely emphasized ‘Signature Breakfast’ is now demoted to ‘Standard Breakfast.’ What an unappealing name! *The previously plump and juicy sausages were just ordinary sausages. What a disappointment! It is an item I always look forward to. *The Marion berry jam for the toast is delicious, but did you skimp on the portion… *A complaint I made before, the bill arrived just as we started eating our breakfast. Much too soon!!! Typical of an ordinary fast-food restaurant! Even I-HOP has the courtesy to present the bill at the very end. This is strictly a convenience for the server, but Shari’s had relatively few patrons on that day. I wonder why??

The menu keeps changing and the products we like are discontinued. The menu was not a menu that included everything as usual. It was noon when I got there, I was not asked if I needed a breakfast menu, and no items were on the menu indicating the usual honored guest selections. The waitress knew what I was talking about and my order was completed. I didn't ask, but I am now unsure if breakfast is supposed to be all day since only some items were on this menu as "all day breakfast items"

I didn't really interact with anyone. So being highly satisfied was not an option.
