Dissatisfied Customer

We realized immediately the kind of restaurant we were had chosen, when we didn't see anyone for about 5 min. When seated, our waitress was pleasant and took our order. Two hamburgers, one ice tea, and one water. This order took about 30 min. Our waitress checked on us and asked how we were doing, and saw that our food had not yet arrived. When the hamburger die arrive, they lacked cheese, and the buns were soggy. We had to ask for ketchup, and the bottle was nearly empty. The meat had pieces of gristle that we had to spit out. Check out was delayed by another customer complaining about their take-out order missing two items that were ordered. A small crowd formed behind us waiting to pay and leave. We all noticed how dirty the floor was. The problem could be low staffing, more likely poor management. We don't need a validation code, because one visit was enough. Shari must be Denny's sister.

I have been coming to this Shari's restaurant for 10 years. I've always found the food to be of good quality & preparation. The one thing which has consistently & noticeably deteriorated over the past few years is the management of greeting/seating. The first words I hear from staff who are bustling around is: "I'll be with you in a moment"...which can take up to 5 or 10 minutes, more if the place is busy. Or "Sorry about the wait." I can tell you that I've walked out & gone somewhere else on numerous occasions. The apologies become so commonplace as to be meaningless. There is no regular host/hostess. Many times there's a wait on the cashier. I generally have no complaint with the staff; they work hard at their jobs. I think the problem is with very bad management!

I know that the server was new so I grant her that but she took to long on getting the food to us and thus it was cold when we got it. We also have noticed that our service has been getting slower and slower even though we come on a weekly basis. If this keeps up we will be forced to go elsewhere for our weekly dinners.

It took forever for my food to come. The side salad was way undersized. About four bites of lettuce..

Ordered steak & eggs. Steak was smaller than my hand. Asked for medium and was served well done. Steak had a strange consistency as if it was not fresh and had been cooked anyhow. The lack of taste pointed to the real possibility that this steak had gone bad and had been cooked and served to me. Was extremely dissatisfied as the price for the size and quality is overblown. The rest of the meal was fine and this is the first time I encounter such problem as I am a loyal customer. I did not send it back because I am leery of sending food back to the kitchen.

The restaurant is just fine the staff is very good the issue is that there is not an employee to greet us upon arrival, some times the wait is more than 5 minutes until someone comes to the lobby to welcome us and seat us. After the meal the same thing happens again, no one is at the register to settle our bill, some times more than 5 minutes will pass while waiting. I have noticed other customers with the same experience. An employee needs to be in the lobby at all times to perform the two tasks that are described in this note . I am convinced these issues are costing your restaurant negative feedback from other customers

Though the restaurant had only a few customers (it was mid-morning) our order took quite a long time to arrive. I ordered eggs over medium and the whites were quite runny. The server did not return and I finally walked over and found him to complain. Two more eggs arrived a bit later which were overdone and by then, everything else -- hash browns, toast -- was cold.

THE APPITIZER ORDER WAS NOT DELIVERED BEFORE THE MEAL, AND WHEN IT ARRIVED THE DIPPING SAUCE WAS "WATER" (HAD NO TASTE AND THIN). I ASKED FOR IT TO BE REPLACED AND WAS TOLD THAT THE COOK ADDED TOO MUCH WATER TO THE SAUCE AND REPLACING IT WOULD ONLY BE THE SAME. iT WAS UNEATABLE!!!!!

The restaurant was not busy in the least. It took quite a while to get seated as no one was working the front counter. Took forever to get my food. I had to finally tell the wait person that I needed to leave.. 5 minutes later my food came .... cold. Makes you wonder how long it was sitting. The wait person was friendly.
