Shari's

Meat lovers fritata was good but not wonderful. My guest said her meal was wonderful!

I had the T-Bone steak breakfast medium rare. The meat was tough, chewy and mostly fat. It was overcooked on the edges and raw at the bone. That being said, I'm a meat eating guy, I can't remember not eating a piece of meat in the past! So for ME to push the plate away and say even I can't eat that! You know it had to be bad! Everything else was great, service and speed, friendlest staff!!!

Restaurant was busy as it was the Saturday before fathers day, selected Sharis after our usual restaurant was also crowded and had an excessively long wait (as did other customers who we passed when we left the oter restaurant). The manager that seated us was not very friendly and brought coffee without any greeting ther than to ask if we wanted coffee. Which while waiting for our order this manager and waitress both passed our table and I still had to ask for a coffee refill.

Were not acknowledged upom emterimg restayrant. Took too long to be seated.

The chicken tortilla soup was not what I was expected, it was good, but I think it could be better.

We eat at Shari's roughly once a week since we moved to Bend, generally on Wednesday or Friday. We have tried both Shari's North and Shari's South and prefer the North location. For some reason this Wednesday the pie seemed like it wasn't fresh where it is normally excellent, and honestly why Free Pie Wednesday has become a weekly occurrence. We did enjoy the food and service but this week it just seemed to be a little off for some reason but we will continue to go there because I am sure it was just a fluke.

Once the restaurant gets busy (it was pie night), the food suffers. Fries where cool. Burgers where off tasting and on the cold side. Buns not toasted. My grandson had the same food at Shari's South earlier in the day and it was delicious.

I was satisfied and met my expectations. Highly satisfied would be reserved for something extra special.

$2.49 for a cup of coffee???? Really??? I would be tempted to order pie if the coffee was not such a high price. Double that price and I could buy a whole pound.

It's not a 5 star restaraunt, plain and simple.
