Our server was wonderful. The food we were served was not. The chicken wings tasted reheated, and the meat was not warm and also cold near the bone. The nacho's had HUGE globs of meat, the whole nacho dish was not hot and it was obvious it sat out too long before being served. The Au Jus sauce had no flavor (The prime rib dip is what my husband (his favorite) orders every time we go to Shari's). And my salad had dehydrated carrots that looked like large pieces of orange plastic and the croutons were soggy. The butternut squash soup tasted great and was served hot. We normally have great food, but this time was very disappointing. I was glad it was free pie night, it made me not be so upset about the food.

My server was Ellen. She was extremely nice and took my order, which part of was "I want my hash browns COOKED on the outside and inside and I want them crispy". When I received my order, the potatoes weren't even cooked! The waitress said she would take them back, but that the cook was not cooperating or listening to her. When the hash browns came back, they were "browed" a little, but still not cooked (completely raw on this inside and gross). At this point, my breakfast is pretty much over. I found out the cook's name is ROB, I also found out that Rob likes his potatoes undercooked. What Rob needs to understand is that there are many people in the world who NEED their food cooked, for many reasons (religious and medical). I think someone needs to TRAIN THIS COOK how to cook food when it is ordered well done and crispy! I should have received a discount on my bill, but I didn't even think about asking. It's pretty bad when a business who relies on its cooks, and the cooks can't fulfill an order to a CUSTOMER'S specifications (no matter what they are)! Elizabeth Locke 541-664-0808

Came in at 4:10 p.m. Settled... order not taken till 4:30 p.m. Food did not arrive till 4:50 p.m. I had to go ask for the ticket at 5:05 p.m. I was watched go ask for my ticket and a different server helped us pay our bill...our server and greeter who took us to the table were busy chatting about something. The manger was hiring someone at the table behind us and maybe didn't notice these things! Beside my adult daughter and myself there may have been 5 or 6 people in the restaurant!! I'm in a powerchair so we were seated in the side dining room so we could see what was happening in the restaurant. The reason we stopped to eat at this time of day is we thought it would be quiet and we could get in and out in a timely fashion..I hope this wan't to unkind but I felt you folks should know! Thank you for your time...

The food was great, the service was good...What I had a problem with is being overcharged. I ordered the bacon and egg topped french fries for $9.99 and hot tea, which I believe is about $2.60. The server (Debbie) handed me the ticket for $13.92. I went to pay and she grabbed my ticket with my debit card and quickly threw my ticket into the trash. Which I thought was weird cuz they usually give it back to me after they ring up. She says "ok, that will be $18.82. I thought she read it wrong, then when she handed me the credit slip to sign, I was charged $18.82 to my debit card. I questioned why I was being charged that much when she gave me a ticket that said $13.92. She then started scrambling to look for the ticket and pretended she didn't know where it was. Then she said she'd give me my change back in cash, rather than rering the order. She gave me $4.03 back...when I got home, I recalculated and she owed me $4.90. I've never had someone take money from me in such a way and I'm not sure I'll go back there unless I have exact change. I'm not just am occasional customer, I'm there at least once a week if not more. I'm sure this isn't the first or last time she'll do this.

I ordered breakfast, requesting that the bacon be crisp and the toast well done ("almost burnt"). What I got was bacon which was barely cooked - the middle was cooked but the ends were a translucent, greasy, uncooked piece of nastiness. The toast, far from being well done, was a pale, flaccid mess which looked like it didn't even have a nodding acquaintance with a toaster - and it was "buttered" by someone having slapped a glutinous lump of oleo in the middle, resulting in a soft, soggy center and dry crust. It was disgusting. I understand that the waitress is not responsible for the kitchen, but she IS responsible for conveying the customer's requests to the cooks and for making sure the order complies. This waitress was content to slap this slop in front of me as tho' she had no further obligation to her customers. A week ago, in response to the same instructions, a waitress (different eatery) took the time to make sure the meal came out as specified. I happily left her a $25 tip on a <$11 tab. I left this waitress $1 on a $26+ tab and felt like I'd overpaid. The restaurant wasn't crowded or overly busy. This was simple lack of concern on the server's part.
