Shari's

The service was very slow. I thought it took overly long to place the order. I was not asked if I wanted any beverage after I was first given a glass of water, which I had requested. The entree arrived quickly; but the waitperson never came back to ask me if I was satisfied. The check was placed on my table without the waitperson wanting to know if I wanted anything else. I got the person to come back so I could request a piece of pie.

Over cook steak on both plates order med rare got chard well done steak and order just hashbrowns and got stuff hashbrowns. Order was for to go . Did not enjoy. The pie's were good. 😬

We have been going to this Shari's for many years. My reviews are usually excellent. The last three visits have been going downhill, with yesterday's visit absolutely terrible. The coffee was cold, the waitress (who is definitely not up to Shari's standards) placed the order incorrectly resulting in spoiling the enjoyment my husband usually experiences from his lunch. We had to ask several times each for things we wanted, she forgot our check, etc. To top it off, the cinnamon roll we ordered to take home was hard as a rock and stale. I threw it away. When you pay over $23 for lunch you expect to enjoy it...not the case at all. We will not go back anytime soon.

The English Muffin in the Eggs Benedict was really bad. Doughy, almost chalkly. Also the eggs themselves were a little too runny. By the way, while I have your attention (I hope I do) I really wish you offered Corn Bread a bread option.

Pancakes taste like charcoal due to being burnt...bacon barely cooked when I ask for crisp..mgr only refunded 3.00 for horrible breakfast. Had doctor appointment so I had no time to reorder...

I ordered the asparagus soup & the strawberry waffle. The asparagus soup was good. The waffle was WAY UNDERCOOKED. It was just a gooey mess under the strawberries and totally inedible. I removed the strawberries from the top and ate them. The strawberries appeared to be fresh, good quality, & were delicious. Took some effort not to let the waffle mess spoil the everything.

Cold food, inattentive waitress.

16 times, wait staff walked by my station with an obviously empty coffee cup without so much as an acknowledgement of my existence let alone the offer of a refill. Bacon was overdone as was the toast, with no attendance as to satisfaction with the food.

The waitress Angeline was very standoffish, made little to no eye contact, and whenever we asked for something she would either sigh heavily, roll her eyes, or behave as though she just couldn't be bothered. What's more is when answering a question she would mostly walk away while answering. Yes, it was a busy dinner rush but that's no excuse for poor service. We ordered the frittata with no onions and peppers, and it came with onions and peppers. So on sending it back, we chose another entree which took even longer to receive than the frittata. Then the check was wrong in that we were charged for our pies when it's free pie Wednesday. On receiving the new check, it was still wrong at only a 10 cents difference. However we paid the difference anyway, and opted giving Angeline 10% of a tip. Plus I ordered my steak at well, and it arrived medium well. Overall, very unpleasant dining experience.

The server was very rude. I asked for a key lime shake and she said they didn't have key lime pie. I said I'll have marionberry and she said "k" and walked away. Took about 15 minutes to get it, and it was room temp and not very good. Our server was very snarky and ready for us to get out of there. And $6 for a shake... I mean... i can get a pizza for $5.
