Shari's

There was a hair in my food. The waitress only apologized once then ignored that it ever happened after that point. I felt that I should at least gotten a discount or a desert comped by the manager.

Eggs were runny, not poached hard. Other meals were bland. The server was very attentive and took eggs back, however, it took 20 minutes for the cook to fix it and everyone else had been done eating for quite awhile. The restaurant was pretty slow, so it didn't make any sense.

I ordered two pies. I paid for 2 pies I ordered. One of the pies were ordered by the party next to me who also was ordering pies. I was served by a manager I don't trust. In the past this manager had taken a very big tip from a waitress by cleaning the waitresses table. When the waitress was asked the next day if they had received the tip, they responded 'no'. The manager was confronted by me and said it wasn't his fault. To this day the waitress never received the envelope with a note written on the envelope or the amount of money the envelope contained. That particular manager is the reason I always give the waiter or waitress a tip personally. It is also the reason I do not visit the Santa Clara Shari's weekly as I started a routine of doing. This visit will be my last at your store for months, perhaps years.

1. The staff augured in front of customer as to why they had to seat. 2. The hostess or lack of was dressed in a sweater that had more holes than Swiss cheese. 3. The back pie case was dirty and lacking pies (Can't sell them if you don't display them). I didn't want look at the register case for fear of what I might see. 4. The carpet was nasty looking 5 The service station was dirty with food condiments and dressings. 6. I sat at the counter and the cook looked like he hadn't bathed much less washed his hands. 7. I think there was a maintenance man working where food was being prep. 8. I'm going to stop here as I don't think you want to hear more.

I bought an apple pie, took it home and when I opened the box it had a strong metal smell coming from it. I cut a piece off and tried to eat some of it but the pie itself had the same flavor as the smell from the pan it was in. I took it back to change it for a different one and William the server wanted to argue about what I told him about the pie. He was just in shock that anyone would ever bring one of their pie's back. Not friendly at all in fact he was very rude to me. He grudgingly gave me another pie and walked away. Did not seem to care if I was satisfied or not, terrible customer service, about the worst I've ever seen and I'm 77 years old so I go way back with my judgement. You could do a lot better when a customer has a problem I did not think this would turn out to be such a big deal. Clif

Most people when they order pancake you get syrup...She brought my husband None at all. She messed are drink orders My daughters hash browns were not done. Her eggs were not the way she order thrm. there were onions on my food when I said no onions everyone heard me.(she did take it back and bring out a new one) that was bearly warm .It was my grandson birthday she make no remarkes positive at all. We did make a comment to the hostess when we were leaving. But we had a party of 5 my grandsons and daughter were very up set. But if I would of said anything more they would of been more upset. Not once did she ask if we wanted a refilled we asked more then once took over 20 minutes to get one refill. For over the fifty bucks we spent it was not worth it. My husband was so upset. We want to make our grandson birthday special. Guess Sheri's was not place to do it!!

Waited by myself for 5 minutes with no one else waiting. My entire order was luke warm at best. Eggs were runny, undercooked and barely warm. Gravy was cold. Biscuits were old and cold. Only the sausage made the cut. I would have got a better meal at Denny's for $4.00, instead I paid $10.50. I'm completely very dissatisfied with my entire visit. The individual sit down counter was unavailable because supplies were covering every seat. I had to wait 5 to be seated and that started down the road of no recovery as the meal was almost inedible. Can't complain these days, can't trust the cook of you can't see them cooking. I'd like to get a free meal if possible. Troy P. 650-464-3947

We sat way to long for both taking our order and for 30 minutes before having food at our table. The waitress was rude and unprofessional. Our food had sat in the window before it was brought us. My omelet was cold on the outside but warm inside. The fruit garnish was gross looking and dried out. Our salad did not come with all of the items that were ordered and the bill reflected a price increase.

The server (Owen) was slovenly and filthy. He looked like someone had brought him in out of a machine shop. There were food and numerous stains on his shirt and pants. About an inch and a half of his underwear was showing in back. The New York steak was half fat and gristle. A different server stopped by our table and asked how our meal was. I had left half of my steak in pieces that I couldn't cut and told her about it, She said she would tell the manager and see if he would comp us. I didn't want her to do that since we'd had a very bad experience with him the last time we'd been there but she insisted. The manager did comp the steak but that didn't make up for the slovenly person who'd served us.

highly unhappy with the menu change. There are certain foods that this person can eat and now they are gone. We have always eaten at Shari's. We will have to go somewhere else from now on. Too bad because we love almost every one else they and they depend on our generous tips. Please bring back the turkey bacon and other things everyone likes that were on the menu!
