Shari's

Shari's new menu SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is VERY discriminatory to Senior Citizens. There is NO Senior Lunch Menu and the Breakfast and Dinner Senior menus are Extremely limited. It Seems as if Shari's would rather the Seniors go someplace else to eat. We can do that. There is an Elmer's right across the street who like Seniors.

We have eaten at Shari's at least once a week for several years. The meal we had today was twice as much as the similar meal at Denny's. The higher prices in the new menu has forced us to eat at Denny's. Also I can't remember the last time I had a coupon for Shari's.

Read the other portion of this survey and I believe it can be stated here. I will say the salad was good, the baked potato and the bread was good. The meat and onion rings (SOGGY) was rated a "D" - Shari's can do better than this.

It would be much better service for the waitress to take the payment than to have to wait in line to pay. I waited for over 10 minutes to pay my bill because the girl waiting on the lady in front of me who came in to buy a pie was new and needed help. when people started backing up the trainer opened up the next register and didn't help her. I should have been taken before the others. Poor planning. Sorta ruined a good feeling as we came in for pie and coffee which was good and the waitress was pleasant. The "new" cashier was nice too, she just needed more training. Poor management!

Took a long time for her to greet, and come back to take our order. When our food finally came, the mac n cheese was so cold, we ordered onion rings got fries, ordered garlic tots got regular ones, I got the new caprice salad the one with avocado but didn't get the balsamic. My friend didn't get her burger we had to ask for it.. when she got it she said it was so cold and the cheese wasn't even melted. Like they threw it together quickly. We could have gone to taco bell for that service and quality of food. It was horrible. Even tho we are all servers ourselves we just ate what we got cuz we were so hungry

The temperature of the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. I asked the young male manager if he could turn the air down and he pretended to, but did not. Several minutes later when our server took our order, I also asked her if the air could be turned down as it was freezing in here. She also pretended to remedy the situation but did not. The server even acknowledged that it was chilly in there. Everywhere I looked I saw people wearing jackets or sweaters.

We were charged $9.29 for meals I thought were only $7.29. After looking at the menu a second time I realized what we ordered was only offered between 4-9 (?) Monday - Friday. I believe the waitress should have pointed this out rather than allow me to order it and then add $2 to each plate. On top of that she charged me extra for the sausage that was supposed to come with the meal and did not give me the bacon the meal claimed to offer (Sunrise Special). The manager took the extra sausage charge off but did not seem concerned that the waitress had not done her job to tell me this wasn't even a real option on a Saturday morning. The table we sat at had not been cleaned well and my silverware was dirty. When I asked for a different fork the manager had to look at 2-3 in "Clean" silverware holder before finding a clean one. My wife and I had almost both finished our water before being offered more right before we left. All in all not a very good experience.

Normally we have very good service at Shari's. But on this day, after we were seated, not one person even acknowledged that we were there for 20 minutes. We were just about to get up and leave when the first waiter finally did come and take our order. It was an extremely long time before the food came. Then a second waiter came over, said he did not even serve the first order because it was burned. We never even saw it. When the second order finally did came, it was so cool it did not even melt the cheese in the omelet and the hotcakes were over done. We were very unhappy with this visit, but like I said, normally we have very good service.

Order was wrong

The waitress described my meatlovers skillet as a meal for someone who really likes meat when I asked her to compare this and another dish for me. I love meat, I was hungry, so I ordered it. After my meal arrived as I lifted the eggs in the middle to look for my meat, all I found was mostly hash browns. The meats were just very little (REALLY SMALL, BITS) chopped up pieces of ham and bacon around the outside of the hash browns, couldn't even find a piece of sausage as was listed, and honestly it looked like I was served scrapings from the grill. Our server offered to tell the manager as did the cashier as I paid. I was hungry and discouraged so I declined and ate a most disappointing meal while I sat in a wooden chair that was totally uncomfortable. I have eaten at other Shari's before but I will not return to this one. The staff was friendly but my meal & the chairs sucked!
