Shari's

Again the specialty pie being advertised was 'out of stock',,, this has happened 2 times this month; also you were out of clam chowder before 7 pm on a Friday,,,, also your special on pie of the month was out of stock in 2 prior months,, never did get to taste either of those pie flavors - - - - i have spoken with the manager,,, he states he is unable to order "heavy" on some items, when he anticipates "a run on that item",,,,, he states the bosses upstairs cancel or modify those orders, have done so repeatedly,,,, NOTIFY YOUR 'BEAN-COUNTERS' THAT THE HARDEST THING TO MEASURE IS "LOST" SALES,, they do not see the negative numbers, nor the customer dis-satisfaction,, but the result of that dis-satisfaction, which is felt when you cannot order AND GET an item on the menu,, in particular something being PROMOTED ,, it can and does result in REDUCED RETURN VISITS,,, I know your 'bean-counters' do not see the lost revenue, BUT THEY SHOULD LOOK FOR IT AND BE AWARE OF IT'S EXISTENCE,,,, in the last year i have at least had ten or fifteen instances of not available items,,, like Friday night prime rib gone by 6:30 on one occasion, THINK ABOUT IT,,, I CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

The Shari's we visited was filthy, the inside Window sills were gross,wiped but not clean, not just that day but gross from never being sanitized. we sat in the sun room and the windows above the table and above , we're green and moldy with moss,. I know it's Oregon and it rains here, but those windows should be washed on the outside monthly.and next to the table at the least every day. Because the windows were disgusting we started to notice other things like, the condiments are never cleaned, just new bottles when empty. The table was greasy, my water had floaties, (which my waitress immediately replaced without a mind of it, and a smile) I have been a customer of Shari's for over 30 yrs, this place was gross, idk when we will return......

The food and service was fine; however, when I order a side of country gravy for my breakfast, I expect more than 2 Tablespoons of gravy. It was ridiculous! I was charged $ .75 which wasn't that terrible but I would have never ordered it if I knew there were only 2 Tablespoons for $ .75! I would have happily paid more if there was enough gravy to help flavor the hashbrowns (perhaps maybe a 1/3 to 1/2 cup ??)

The time from order put in to kitchen until order was prepared was quite a while?? I just figure it was a busy Sunday Morning and Chritine was a very friendly excellent server... every thing very good Senior price for two eggs and two small pancakes seems awfully high??? But understand...l don't like it?.... but I underand..

We sat at a table that was not level by any means. The waitress came and put some napkins under one leg of the table to level it out. It helped but it did not take care of the problem. The table needs to be repaired or swapped out for one that is level.

other good restaurants out there

This is the third time I've asked for my grilled cheese sandwich to be toasty and not soft and mushy, but it still comes soft and mushy - also, I keep forgetting to ask that they don't put a pickle up against the bread because it gets soaked with pickle juice. Thanks Sharon

The size of the eggs are always smaller than anywhere else, as though Shari's uses medium size eggs...

We waited quite a while for our lunch and my meal came out cold. Chicken fried steak with cold gravy is not a good meal.

As I mentioned, I do not give out "highly" satisfied ratings to anyone/anything, unless it is just WAY beyond expectations. Rarely in this day and age does that happen. Be happy with a "satisfied" rating, which means we liked the place, and will be back.
