Shari's

Both of us ordered the prime rib Holland sauce breakfast that is your special right now. The photo on the menu shows slices of prime rib. Our meat was chopped up into tiny little pieces and it did not flow over the english muffin as pictured in the photo. It needed a bit more spice to add more flavor. This is the only time that we have ever been disappointed with our meals at Shari's. I hope this doesn't happen to others. If it had been our first time, we would not return.

I received prompt service from a friendly waiter but the lettuce I orders had many black old wilted pieces that I picked out and put on the table. At the end of the meal we told the waiter that the cook should have been more attentive and makes us wonder if the lettuce was even cleaned. He quickly scooped the lettuce up and out it on one of the plates And set it on the tray for cleaning without saying much at all. He did not seem concerned...perhaps a little uncomfortable...,maybe made a quick reply when my daughter told him about it but nothing that seemed apologetic or concerned. Things should have been different...my daughter is not one to complain but after watching me pick out the lettuce and then seeing the response (or lack thereof) from the waiter, she encouraged me to fill out this survey.

I wanted a baked potato with my steak. No more baked potatoes at 6:15pm. Substituted mash red potatoes. They were cold, took them back to zap them. Came back with a crust on them. Seemed tasteless. Steak was not juicy like it should be. Served with a cold roll. It was the worse meal I have ever had at Sharis and up until now Sharis has been my favorite place to go.

Ordered mashed potatoes. was prepared with watery instant potatoes not real. Ran all over my plate like cream of wheat. Ordered white gravy to help but it came with unidentified chunks of something. complained to waitress who called the manager. Reduced the bill $2. They said they ran out of real potatoes. I volunteered to go to the store and buy real potatoes to help them out. This was really gross. please take steps to keep from running out of supplies. Not very professional.

Another waitress named SUSAN WAS RUDE TO POOR WAITRESS ALLY WHO WAS JUST TRYING HER BEST!! I AM NOT HAPPY!

Seated by friendly hostess. No drink order asked for. Waitress waited 10 minutes to visit our table. Very curt. Kind of tossed the plates on the table, never smiled. Third person in our party had to wait over 5 minutes after the rest of us were served. Her order was wrong. I had the top sirloin, which was so very small; I have had bigger prawns than that. The ounce size of the steak was not listed on the menu; only the calories. The dinner salad was some greens, 3 cucumber slices and one cherry tomato. No onions or anything else. Very poor. Toast was burnt. When paying I told the hostess about the dinner and she said sorry, hope it is better next time. As a Sharis customer for years, it was by far the worst experience. Usually it is a wonderful dining experience; since the remodel it seems the prices went up and the quality of the food and service went down.

Our food (2 x hamburgers) were undercooked by quite a bit, our waitress shrugged.....she did a poor job of servicing our table, my wife's drink was empty for a long time before we left. This waitress is not as good as others we know at this location. We are local and eat here fairly often, but this level of service and food quality may change that.

Rude and messed up my order

Portion size and out of a lot of things we wanted...

The coffee was very cold and tasted bitter, like it had been sitting a long time. The coffee cup was served to me with the bowl of creamer sitting on top of the rim of the cup, right where you drink. Kind of unhygienic, I thought. I had coffee grounds or something that looked like it on the rim of my water glass. Service was very slow.
