Shari's

I go every week to Shari's. I like the food most of the time (except the coffee is not so great.) The service is normally very good. I would say, that the restaurant needs to be upgraded--the decor is outdated looking, but it is comfortable.

I tried the banana cream pie for the first time and it wasn't nearly as good as the other pies.

My mother had the Sr. Chicken Strip dinner, I had a breakfast meal and was satisfied with my meal. My mother felt the breading on the chicken strips was too heavy (I told her I felt they looked fine to me, but then I wasn't the one eating that meal. Maybe my mother was just a little too fussy and she can be considering she is 98 yrs. old! I've had the sr. chicken strip meal myself before and was very satisfied, but you asked for my feelings on the "whole experience", and that also includes my mother's feelings as well as mine.

Liked the free pie on WEDs. The servers were direct and efficient but not friendly

Pies were bland.

We looked forward to dining out at shari's to enjoy the valentines day specials. Unfortunately the wait staff and cooking staff were new, and made mistakes on completing our order on the first try. They got it eventually, and reheated the previous food to make it as good as they could. We appreciate the efforts, and will likely try that restaurant soon, as they can only get better.

Our long-time server, Angelita, is no longer employed at Shari's, and we're sad about that. She was always attentive and wonderful.

I am a vegetarian, and in the past have been able to find a number of non-meat items on the menu to choose from. On this visit, almost nothing. I ended up ordering a cheese sandwich, hardly worth going to a restaurant for. There were 3 quiche options, but all had meat. We were ignored for nearly 5 minutes when we walked in, even though there was no one else waiting. A similar problem when we tried to pay the bill -- another 5 minute wait.

Mix up on an order, but was corrcted

Usually there is an offer to refill tea and iced tea. No straw with iced tea. Would have liked soup to be warmer. But the food was good.
