Shari's

The Pot roast was tough to chew. The hash browns with the omelet was cold, had to ask for butter for toast and time we got it the toast was so cold the butter would not melt. I usually love Shari's coffe, but on this day it tasted old.

Waitress asked me if I wanted coffee. I said no but I will have a glass of iced water. Ten minutes later, the manager asked if I had been helped. I said yes. She asked if I wanted coffee. I said no but I will have a glass of iced water. The food arrives 5 minutes later. No water, no offer of water by anyone. Waitress brought check. Still no water.

Things happen; I understand this. We were tired. We were hungry. We are foster parents of four children who usually behave, however, on this night, decided to not listen and do their own thing. Top that with my 12 oz. prime rib, the last in the house, coming out cold; my potato....cold. Sent it back to be warmed up. Supposed to come with bread... did not. In fact, my wife's meal had to be warmed up as well. Our daughter's meal HAD A HAIR IN IT....NOT hers! They re-made that one. It was a snowball effect on a rather crappy day that started at Urgent Care some 8 hours earlier! This narrative is not my ranting about a bad day, this is a rant about a bad meal that capped off a bad day.

We have been having breakfast Sunday mornings for about 2 years. We have noticed a decline in the quality of service we were used to. Today there was a long delay being seated. Tables and booths were available but we were told there were only 3 servers so we had to wait. There were others waiting to be seated and to pay their checks. We may consider finding another Sunday morning breakfast place. We miss the former manager, Tim. He was friendly and hard working. He would seat customers and clean tables to keep things moving.

There was under staffing causing a delay in all aspects of service. The staff did very well & we enjoyed our food.

The waitress Melissa was the only person working on a Monday morning. After asking about the staffing she mentioned she was the only server scheduled because of cut hours. This is unreasonable with how busy this store seems Melissa was everywhere but still had great customer service and a smile. To continue getting customers there needs to be adequate staffing so the waiting isn't rediculous.

It really takes the party atmosphere away when you find a large black hair in you pretty white hashbrowns.

Most people want coffee with breakfast. Your price is unreasonable. I realize we didn't have to order it but we do drink coffee with breakfast. I like Shari's but will not return there. No one in their right mind would want to pay almost $6.00 for two cups of coffee.

My husband ordered quiche and was a little disappointed that the unique ingredients were simply put on the top of a plain slice of quiche. I ordered a spinach/veggie omelette that was bland and boring and also a tad on the small side. I had an option for sides and chose the biscuits and gravy. Who has plain brown/beige tasteless sauce put on biscuits? I never for a second thought it would be without sausage! My mistake--I won't be doing that again. The price was very disappointing for what I got.

The problem was with the temp. of the food, except for that the food was fine.
