Shari's

Waitress took order, seated others, took their order, served their drinks & another table & then remembered that she hadn't got my drink & then had to ask what it was again. Then took pot of coffee off table that had just left & gave to me. Dropped food & ticket & never checked back again.

First, we were told the menu item we wanted was out of stock and we would have to pay for an upgrade. My husband told the waiter that "running out was not our problem and that he wanted the same menu item (with a bigger piece of meat) without paying more for it. In addition, he was shocked at the filthiness of the men's restroom. I thought the women's restroom was in bad need of a remodel. I spoke to a person in the restaurant about the fact that the stall I was in was out of toilet paper. This is the second time this summer we have eaten at a Shari's and been appalled at the condition of the restrooms. The first time, we spoke to the manager about it and was told that the night crew was supposed to clean them before they left for the night.....and they had not done it! If you as a chain cannot keep your restrooms clean and up to date, you deserve to have a drop in customers, as I believe you already have. In addition, we noticed how dirty the upholstery fabric on the booths was black from not being cleaned. Obviously, cleanliness is not a priority of your business practice. We will not be back until such time that it is.

I get off work late and sometimes go here for food. Ordered pancakes with apples and made it a meal. The apples that top the pancakes, are they supposed to be ice cold..? I ordered scrambled eggs but it was more like egg. Didn't even seem like 1 egg more like a small splash out of the egg beater carton. Also no butter for my pancakes.

Went to pay check and the charge for one of the meals was higher than shown in the menu. I brought this to the attention of the cashier and she checked the menu and agreed charge was not as printed in menu. Charge was what was programmed in computer and she could not do anything about it. Asked to speak to Manager and was told he would be back Wed. This is the second time I was charged more than I ordered at this Sharis.

There were house flies flying around in the restaurant. The fork I had still had food on it and was set out to use. The coffee was very old and very bitter. I don't believe the menu stated the stuffed Idaho hash browns w/o the bacon and egg said the hash browns had bacon on top. The "complete breakfast" with the stuffed Idaho potatoes did of course said they came with bacon. We are vegetarian and sent the stuffed hash browns back because of the bacon on top. We were brought "regular" hash browns. I don't know why they couldn't have served us stuffed hash browns without the bacon on top.

The service was fine, my order got two things wrong and the steak order was overcooked and Bland tasting. I did not eat my main course and only finished half my sides. Would have liked a partial refund but I didn't want to ask and be rude about it.

LOTS of people waiting to be seated when we arrived, added our name to list. LOTS of empty tables...HMMM! Customers not seated in order of arrival, list not very organized I guess. Waited a LONG time for waitress to greet us at table, even tho she'd been by us several times, made sure she DIDN'T make eye contact. We'd had this same Vanessa our last visit. She is terrible, NOT FRIENDLY, monotone voice, "what do you want to eat?" doesn't check back or refill drinks. Not sure what was going on that Sunday morning, but the whole restaurant seemed to be in chaos, short staffed, unorganized, not enough clean silverware to give customers all utensils, staff chasing their tails. Felt bad for them.......

Our order was taken in a timely fashion, but took much too long to get our food and eventually was brought by another waitress. We had each ordered an omelet with hashbrowns & toast and the food wasn't very warm and the hashbrowns were soggy and greasy.......Appeared that it had sat for quite awhile before being brought to our table. :(

The prices are outrageous. We always went to Shari's a lot, but not so much anymore. For what you get for the money, not much. Everything else is good..............
