Shari's

From the first greeting at the door the wait staff constantly spoke about being slammed with customers. There was probably 11-12 tables occupied. Both of the staff appeared to be on a go-slow-pace. Since I have been to this establishment several times and this particular wait staff have been present, I can only conclude they have the blessing of the owner. If your goal is to present a cold and uninviting place, you have succeeded. If your goal is to offend the customer, you have succeeded. Toward the end of the meal they spoke of possibly having to start a list in order to slow the pace even more. This is the best Shari's in town, too bad it can't be said about the service. At other Shari's, I've heard the same comments from other customers like myself. During the recent wind storm, we often went to the Shari's at Franklin Park.

I realize that due to the weather and power being out too a large number of people this in itself creates problems. Could the management not thought ahead and staffed accordingly? This is not the 1st time I have been in this restaurant and waited and waited when it could realistically have been expected to be busier than usual. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated (I certainly understand this) we were taken to the table and told it would be another 45 minute wait for our food. I know that the weather situation was difficult for everyone but they had gotten their power back over 12 hours ago and still not ready for the hungry masses.

The three of us went to Shari's on Nov.18,2015. We went on Wednesday specifically to get our "free pie Wed." slice of pie with our meal purchases. It wasn't until we requested our slice of pie at the end of our meals that we were told that, "We are NOT giving out free pie slices tonight because there are way too many customers." I do realize that due to the storm there WERE probably more customers than normal, but we should have been told that they would not be giving out their free pie slices BEFORE we ordered our meals and not AFTER we were done eating. I was very disappointed in them for not at least putting a credit on my Shari's card to get a free slice later, after all, we DID buy the required meals so we should have gotten a total of 3 complimentary slices of pie. Our bill was 45.77 (not including the tip that I left, because even though we didn't get our pie slices, the rest of the experience that night was great). Thanks for your time.

I live 2 hrs away and couldnt wait to eat at Sharis. I have loved Sharis all my life. From the time we walked in untill we left, our waitress was rude, slow, and made you feel uncomfortable. There was only 3 other customers there. Her name was Vanessa server #127733 when we went to pay the bill I handed her my credit card and she handed the reciept to me rudely and said Dont you want to add this up. I didnt want to leave a tip she made me feel like I needed to add one on. Well normally Im a big tipper. So I was embaressed and put a $5.00 tip on it. As soon as I was in the car my boyfriend and I couldnt believe it. Never had this happen before. Then another couple came out and parked next to us and I asked them how dinner was, they told me she did the same thing to them. Made them feel like they had to leave a tip......Wow.....Not a happy experience for sure.

Our waiter was very rude. He was not friendly at all and when I asked his opinion of something on the menu he looked at me like I was stupid and replied in a very condescending tone. It was just very apparent that he was either in a bad mood or hates his job.

The waitress was very rude and direct. We received our check and food at the same time then were never talked to again. Our bacon was burnt and our drink remained empty the whole time we were eating. The food was cold once it arrives at the table. The waitress also kept yelling across the room asking where the cook was. I have never been in a restaurant where the waitress treated her guest with such disrespect. I will not be returning.

Could not get what we came in for as they had no ribs or steaks thawed out as the morning crew forgot to get them from the freezer so we were told. Our waitress was not attentive Took 45 minutes to receive meal after we ordered and they were not busy. All we order was 2 patty melts and ice tea. Did not get 1 refill on our drinks the whole time we were there. We frequent this shari's at least 4 - 5 times a month and the last 3 visits were not good. Don't think we will go back.

We waited over ten minutes to even be greeted then a few more minutes while t the table was being cleaned. They were not full or busy. It took another 30 minutes to place the order then another 35 plus minutes to receive our undercooked steak and over cooked bbq ribs, the baked beans were cold. When we asked about the beans we were told that baked beans should be cold. The steak we ordered well done was almost raw. The two people who were seated in front of us received there to go boxes before we received our food. Highly understaffed crew. When I addressed our food situation to one of the crew and asked for a manager it took her 10 minutes to come talk to us. She did take some off the bill. I will not be back to that Sharis again. I love the pies but the service and food were horrible.

The team members at this restaurant are very unfriendly. Noticed that when the local steady customers came they were treated very nicely compared to us strangers. We were not greeted with a good morning and not a single smile. They acted like we should not have come. We had to wait a while to catch the waitress so we could get some ketchup. When I went to the cashier to pay she did not give me the special tub of jam so I had to ask for it and she acted like she did not know anything about it. She then had to borrow my Sharis card again and redp the charge. She then slammed the tub of jam on the counter with a big bulldog face on.
