I asked for water and the waitress took a long time to bring it to me. Then I asked her for an empty plate to put my pancakes on and that took forever. Also there was a really obnoxious ring tone on your phone that kept ringing and ringing. It was really annoying.

waitress seated me in booth by kitchen door even though better booths were available. she then bussed several tables even though I had my menu closed and was ready to order at least 8 minutes before she came over again. Had to ask for service. Also, after it was obvious I was done she cleaned off three tables and then sat several parties. I had requested non-crispy hashbrown and received burnt hashbrowns with very little white potato. With this experience, I felt the food was overpriced and sub-standard.

You must always have something to strive for. The gravy on my CFS was rather thin and watery. The flavor of the gravy was not as good as I thought it should be.

it was a good experience. I just don't use the highest category easily. Only when I am wowed. I was wowed by the greeter who seated us. friendly, fast and efficient.

Sometimes seems to be under staffed for the volume of people. (Perhaps a good thing.) Would like to see Sharis reopen in the Westgate location in Tacoma.

I got pancakes and my boyfriend was looking for a meat lovers type of omelet. All they really had on the menu with meat in it was the Country Omelet. He was looking for one with ham, sausage, and bacon but since the country omelet only comes with ham we had to pay extra for him to be able to add in the sausage and bacon. Paying extra wasn't really a problem, he just wished there was one with everything in it already. When we got our plates, his omelet was good he just wished it was a little bigger because he left hungry still. He had ordered biscuits and gravy as a side dish and it was really cold. He didn't want to be one of those "problem customers" so he didn't complain. He just ate his omelet, half of the biscuits and gravy then helped me finish my pancakes.

We ordered two milkshakes and we thought the price was $3.99 each. We did not get the pie shake ,they are $5.99. The server did not tell us the regular shakes were also $5.99. The menu is miss leading in this dynamic. So we were under the assumption that the regular was still $3.99.

had to wait for table

By Marie T | 12/30/2016
Because I was dining alone, I had to sit at an end table next to the kitchen. I also had to wait more than an average time to be seated. I didn't mind waiting for my soup, but the potatoes were undercooked, and the vegetables as a side to my steak were not hot, but very wilted. There didn't seem to be enough food available. I think they made the soup while I waited. I always bring a book or newspaper because the service is not what it used to be. It gives me the impression that this Shari's is going to be closed like the one in University Place. This location on Union used to be the best for service and food quality.

My food was barely warm when served. This was taken care of by the server and the result was good. There was an incident with a man who yelled obscenities for all to hear. He was made to leave and it was handled well, but really did not make a great scene with my young grandchildren present. No one's fault.
