I ordered my steak to be medium rare. The steak came out almost well done. It was somewhat too dry and tough. Also, I was sad that 16oz. T-Bone steak is gone. It was the only thing I always order at Shari's.

This location is very nice, updated. The Broccoli/Ham/Cheddar Quiche is excellent. The BEST chicken-fried steak (and gravy!) is at Huckleberry Square (Burien, WA). Yours? Ranks a poor third, behind Huckleberry and Golden Steer Kent, WA. ALWAYS scope out the competition's offerings to see where yours succeeds or fails. Also, stuffed hashbrowns? No, thanks. Regular hashbrowns routine, let the customer request the add-on (er, add-in). Staff are friendly and helpful, service is quick. Pies are also delicious. I love that Shari's provides a coffee thermos at the table: you're the only place that does, and for a coffee lover, that is a BIG plus!

Remodeling of Sharis is not pleasing to the eye. You can not hear yourself think because the sound travels. The last thing I want is to watch someone else eat their food. It looks like a 1950 lunch dinner where you try to shove in as many people as possible. The atmosphere in McDonalds is better! The wait-staff has to work hard to provide reasonable service because of the design lay-out. Give it six months and every little bit of dirt and grime will show and you will loose business. I worked in the food industry when I was young. I have two Masters degree, one in business the other in finance. The military trained me as an Industrial engineer. To think about it, your remodel looks like a military mess-hall.

It was fine.

Although we loved the new décor it took way too long for a server to come get our order and quite long to get the food which was not too impressive. However, we would urge other Shari's to adopt similar décor as they are all getting so tired looking and people are staying away. We had a BLT and that is pretty hard to screw up. Texas toast does not really add to that sandwich. Good luck.

Flavor of food and value of the price of the food ordered.

The menu has been changed, and some of the items I enjoyed are gone. I enjoyed the chicken fajitas omelet, it was one of my favorites. I don't eat pork, so this was really a good item I could order. I don't like what has been done to the menu is my main complaint.

It was because of the appearance of my food and the temperature and the attitude to cook had during my entire experience

As a vegetarian, I enjoy a burger now and then and was disappointed to learn that the Garden Burger has been taken off the menu. I was able to have one today as there were some left, but no doubt this will be the last time. I am sorry that I will no longer be able to indulge my burger cravings at Shari's. Such a let down. Given the increased call for vegetarian/vegan options in general, I can only hope that this is a temporary let down. Thanks.
