Shari's

I've been going to the Sunset Shari's since moving to Portland in September 2014. At that time, the restaurant was super terrific. Slowly, the restaurant has been sliding down hill. Mostly with the taste and freshness of the food. Not on my recent visit, but the prior visit to this last time, the croutons on my salad were stale. This time, I ordered saltines and, even though packaged, those were stale as well. During my last prior visit, the fruit which came with my turkey burger seemed old and there was a slight moldy taste to the grapes served.

I asked the waitress to bring me lots of French Vanilla coffee creamer. She did not. I waited so long for the check, I ended up going to the register to pay without it. Otherwise, I feel this location is a better restaurant than a lot of others.

they were out of two items we ordered there delivery of those item were late they items substituted were ok but not what wanted other then that all was great

there was hair in the food but i removed it, and ate the food.

THIS SPECIFIC TIME THE SERVICE WAS VERY SLOW. AFTER OUR ORDER ARRIVED WE SAW NO ONE OR HAD OUR WATER GLASSES FILLED. I HAD THE LUNCH TRIO AND WAS WAITING QUITE AWHILE TO ORDER THE PIE. I WENT AROUND THE RESTAURANT AND COULD FIND NO ONE. HAD TO KNOCK ON THE KITCHEN DOOR TO GET SOMEONE'S ATTENTION. FINALLY THE WAITER CAME OUT AND TOOK MY ORDER. HE DID NOT APPEAR VERY COURTEOUS AND ALMOST APPEARED DISGRUNTLED THAT I HAD CALLED SOMEONE. HAD TO ASK FOR OUR CHECK TO LEAVE. AT THE CASH REGISTER HIS DEMEANOR WAS BETTER. I CAN APPRECIATE SLOW SERVICE WHEN THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE, THERE WERE VERY FEW PEOPLE.

The restaurant was not very crowded, yet we had to wait to place our order and to receive our food.

We were at your restaurant on 2/14/2016 and had Cristine as our server. She was fabulous!!! Today, 2/27/2-16, Madison was our server, and though she was very friendly, she was in such a hurry and abrupt that we got mixed up in our ordering. We were trying something new--salad, sandwich, pie $8.99--and she was so quick in telling us we were order improperly that we (me, the survey person) got flustered and the wrong item, main course, was delivered to our table. She needs to slow down. On February 14, I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast, sausage, eggs, etc. and it was super fabulous! My husband is crazy over your cherry pie (heated, with ice cream.)

We had great service and hot food at this Shari's. Great Job I went to another Shari's that night and had trouble service and cold and under cooked food. They would not give me the check with the survey on it so I could contact you with my issues.
