I may have grey hair but that doesn't give the server permission to address me as "Honey." That is how she greeted me when I was seated. I told her politely that I don't go by "Honey." I feel strongly that terms like Honey or Hon are demeaning to older people, and I wish employees would be trained accordingly. After that she addressed me as "ma'am" (which is fine) but she seemed uncomfortable.

The extras that were ordered on our food was not put on... food was greasey... coffee was over brewed. .. and their were coffee grounds in the table pots that got into the cups.... for taking food home small container s were used for everything. .. and had to wait for waiter to get done talking to other employees to get his attention ... just to get check and food box's

We were in Portland from out of state. We saw a banner on the restaurant advertising "free pie Wednesday". We selected Sharis because of it. When we got ready to order we found out it was only between 4-10 pm. We were denied the free pie because we ordered before 4 pm despite the fact that we finished up our meal at that time. It seems that the situation borders on false advertising.

Waitress served me burnt hash browns on outside, very dry inside. Plus eggs and hashbrowns were lukewarm. I asked her for new hashbrowns and server, Kimberly told me she thought they might be to overcooked. Now, why on God's green earth would you say that? Much less if you think it, why would you serve it? I also felt she was rushing us to leave at about 11:15 a.m. Not very welcoming. I've decided I've had it with Shari's poor service. I didn't even get an apology. Your staff used to be great, but not anymore. Especially the Shari's on 181st and Halsey in Portland. I saw a manager chew out a lady when we walked in a couple of months ago. The manager was out of lime to the customer who was talking calmly to her. I'm sure customer complained. The food was underwhelming. Hash browns were seemingly frozen and pre-package. They were undercooked and lacked flavor. Gravy was mediocre at best. Maple syrup was not really maple syrup and your waffle mix blows.

Went in for pancakes and coffee. They waitress was great but informed me they had no pancakes and some other things. Since it was morning and that is a major food item for breakfast not to have is ridiculous. I assume they ran out the day before but couldn't get some from another restaurant or store.

The servers and line cook argued loudly during my visit. One of our dishes was made incorrectly, and we could hear them arguing about it. The server didn't refill our drinks until we were done eating. The server seemed very rushed, and like it was an inconvenience to help us. The restaurant was empty.

Service less than acceptable. Had to ask for drink-water-refills and my sons soda. When paying the bill, I was told I had a 20% off discount available. My 20% was $1.04. Not sure what I had that gave me a whole dollar off my bill. Could hardly stand the excitement.

We usually go to the Sharis in Vancouver Wa. and we LOVE them here in Orchards, Washington, as well as Downtown on Mill Plain. We were in the Portland Airport area waiting for our truck to be serviced so we decided to have breakfast there...after we were thinking of going to IHop. Our food was SLOW....half of the order was given to another guest. When our full orders came....we were surprised that the plates were SO SMALL...and the food was different than what we are used to. We were NOT happy customers and so I decided to give this feedback. Somebody needs to check into this location and see what is happening there. NOT GOOD. They might be well served to go to the Sharis in Orchards and check on how they do things there. Thanks for listening.

I purchased a fresh strawberry pie for my family's dinner. I kept it cool and drove straight home since it was made with fresh, uncooked berries. When I sliced it for serving the same day of purchase, the bottom crust was so soggy it couldn't maintain any shape, the whipped topping was very firm and the berry filling was runny, despite refrigeration. The pie was a sad mess and no one finished their serving. The remainder was tossed out. I understand the difficulty in creating a fresh berry pie since I make them myself when I have the time. This one was definitely not fresh prepared or something is going wrong in the kitchen of the store I purchased it from.
