Shari's

Our server Shawron M was not only rude but made us feel like an inconvience. I went to meet my best friends and their kids for an early dinner. We over heard Shawron was complaining to a coworker about how she was bored because the place was slow. And how she was going to hair school and needed to gather 5,000 so she could pay for it. So we assumed she would be attentive and kind to our table. To start our experience my son and I asked politely for an Oreo milkshake. She responded "we don't have that." Which would have been fine, but she didn't offer any other suggestions. So I had to ask if there was anything like cookies and cream, she changed her mind and said."oh yeah we have that.".while she was making our milkshakes she commented to the server in training "Milkshakes take all your time." Her mood never improved throughout our visit I am a regular sharis customer and have never had a server with such bad and rude customer service skills. Highly dis-satisfied. Honestly my friends and I rarely see each other because we live far apart and to be treated as an inconvenience the entire visit was SO UNCALLED FOR.

Waited almost 15 minutes for server to take my order. It wasn't busy because I could see him doing some kind of prep. I was over charged.

I called to place an order to go at 11:23pm. I was put on hold for 5 minutes before my order was taken, and by then I was already 5 minutes from Shari's. They said it would be done in less than 10 minutes. I got there in 5 minutes waited and saw my completed order waiting from the kitchen about 15 minutes later. It took over 8 minutes for the team to acknowledge the order was done. They also did not even acknowledge how long I had waited in total for my to-go order. What usually takes 10-15 minutes after my phone call took a total of 30 minutes from call time to food-in-hand. It would not bother me if they were extremely busy, but this was late at night with very few customers.

after being seated, took forever for the server to take our order, the person who seated us took our drink order but never returned. After we did order, took forever for the food to be served, and seemed it had been sitting for awhile before we received it, we then decided it would be better to go straight to the cash register rather than waiting forever for our check. Manger did say sorry about poor service but it seemed not really heart felt.

Seated immediately with hostess taking drink order. Was about 10-15 minutes before server arrived. Said he would be right back, return in minutes taking care of other tables. Did not confirm order, did NOT know how the food was prepared. Brought the food out slowly (parts of one order separate from the rest of the meal). One order (salmon) was overcooked, other order was wrong. When asked about this took 10 more minutes for the right food (wrong temperature, he never asked). at that point I asked for the manager, He sounded like he wanted to care, but did not check back to see if the food was okay. Horrible experience. No one seemed to care

The restaurant wasn't even very busy but the service was horrendous. It took a minute to get seated but that wasn't a big deal. However, the booth had ants so we moved, and even after that, it took a long time to get water. Two of us had our orders wrong on our bill but it wasn't worth arguing and some of our food wasn't what we expected. Our waters were never refilled and our server was nowhere in sight until all our food was gone. He apologized and said it was because he had to clean but that's not an acceptable excuse for what literally was basically no service. We won't be returning which is unfortunate because it is the closest 24 hour restaurant to our house. The only redeeming quality was one server that was trying to help but we weren't even her responsibility so we felt bad asking her for help. The whole meal was a disaster.

I'm sending in a letter to the manager as well. This was a special treat for my 90 year old grandmother-in-law and the service was horrible. The waitress basically ignored us for the duration of our stay. We had to ask to order. We had to ask for condiments. Our drinks took 10 minutes to get and no refills. I had to ask for a box. She saw we were ready to leave and still didn't bring us the check. A really disappointing visit.

Tall supervisor man he was attending to girls and didn't come to our table after he came back from break. He did get us drink within 2min . he said the waiter will be right with us. This guy should be a supervisor he didn't attend to no one else besides two girls he talked laughed with them he turned around went up the stairs and didn't come back for anyone else. We waited 48 minutes until we asked who was there to help us. So Calvin he helped us out was very kind we had no problems with him he checked on us every time he attend other tables. 1:00a-2:58 that 48 minutes we waited. So long I didn't want to get a big plate and risk taking longer and food getting cold.

I have lived down the road from the Shari's location on Garden Home in Portland, OR since 1991. I have never had such a disastrous experience in a restaurant....ever. The wait to be seated was lengthy, the wait for even water was lengthy, the wait for the food lengthy and once it was delivered to the table it was cold. The orders were sent back and waited again for at least 20 minutes for its return only to be served another dinner entirely. My partners meal was still cold the second time around, so he ordered a hamburger instead of the full meal he ordered originally. The man who used to manage this location ran it like clockwork. The manager on this evening did not seem to be in control and did not seem to be of much assistance to his employees. One would think that a meal or both meals would have been comped or a dessert offered, but none of the above occurred. It was a horrible end to an evening and has jaded my opinion of Shari's.
