I was waiting to be noticed for about 5 min before seated. I am one person. After my Luke warm soup, it took about 10 min for my sandwich. I think they were in a switch at that time. I had a lady and then a man.

corn beef hash really bad - pancake below avg - food overall temp just warm not hot. heidi pie (san Mateo) and black bear have much much better corn beef hash. fish better than others but fries limp. for the number of diners food took a long time and came out barely warm.

Store was not clean, carpets had food on them that the staff walked into the carpet rather than clean them up (grapes), Staff was much more interested in visiting with each other than checking on customers, Food to more than 20 minutes to arrive and my food was not good. I ordered the "Prime Rib Dip" which sandwich came cold (although I could tell the meat had been heated on cooktop until there was no flavor left), au jus was barely warm. Staff did not check on our satisfaction until it was way too late. When asked at cash register how everything was my response was "edible" and the cashier responded "That's great" and finished out our register.

My food looked like it was old and had been recooked. the southern fried steak was so overcooked that I could hardly cut it. Plus the meal should have come with break but none was given. This was the first bad experience we have had.

Certain wait staff completely unprofessional. Host or manager did not appear present. Generally the interior is tired and dirty. This has been a go to coffee shop for us for years. Sharis is a good brand with a good PNW reputation. Corporate needs to get control of this store!

I was not satisfied because the pie I ordered was not what I expected. Based on the name of the pie, Caramel Pecan, I expected pecans on my pie, not peanuts. This was false advertisement to me. Highly disappointed.

The order was not accurately presented to us - missing items we had requested, food seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp for a while before it got to us, although my wife's order was barely warm by the time we got it. We asked for two pieces of pie to go - when we got home, there was one decent sized slice plus one very small slice that looked as if it had been scraped off someone else's plate. This plus items missing from our food order seem to show a kitchen & server not paying attention to the needs of the guest. We are refugees from your Livermore location, which has sadly closed, where we were always very satisfied. Based on the performance of this Castro Valley location (which we have tried twice, both times with a negative response), I believe you have lost a formerly faithful customer.
