Wait staff taking to long because they spend to much time visiting with each other. Cleanliness is marginal. Staff not prompt due to poor management.

the food was cold, didn't get food described in menu. Asked for soup for 2 year old to get 1st and had to ask after food that was cold was delivered.

Waited a long time before being acknowledged when we first came in. There were many empty tables but after waiting a long time, we had to have our name on a list. Took a long time to get our drinks. When asking for a refill, the waitress walked away swearing under her breath.

Hot food so cold it wouldn't melt butter. No drink refill, no condiments for potato, no lemon or flavor for salmon.

We arrived and were seated next to a table that needed to be bussed. This table remained dirty through out or visit. Our server did not come to our table for for quite some time. No one offered to get us anything to drink while we waited for him. By the time he arrived we had already looked over the menu and decided what we wanted to eat. I ordered coffee. The handle and the bottom of the carafe were dirty. I was not offered the French Vanilla creamer. I actually had to take it from the dirty table next to me. My husband was facing the kitchen and noticed when our food was sitting in the expo stage, waiting to be delivered. It sat there for quite a while. And our "very inattentive" server was no where to be found. The hostess/manager/greeter, as well as other servers, walked by it a number of times before someone decided to deliver it. My eggs were swimming in grease, my husbands tater tots tasted like grease that needed to be cleaned. I was never offered any jam. And the seal was still on the mustard. (At least it was fresh). We have never had a bad visit to a Shari's restaurant, but we won't be back to this one next time we visit Lewiston

the re were very few people in Sharis and I couls see 3 waitres and it took 3 min. to seat two of us, so I started timeing them seating others and it took them that long also. the manager took our money and asked how things were, I said I didn't like to wait as long as I did, he just laghfed and I said it wasn't funney, he did not respond or give a dam. So I don't give a dam either.

We don't eat out often, so when we do, we like to feel welcome and get good hot food. We paid $80 for 4 adults and 3 children which isn't bad, however when the food arrives in inconsistent temperatures and preparation appearance, it is disconcerting. The waitstaff was friendly, but they all could have had a little more personality and interaction. The table we were seated at was dirty. There was sticky jam or something on the table and a built up tacky film on the entire surface from years of neglectful quick wiping. In the 19 years I've lived in this valley, I've noticed Sharis go through a couple spurts of reinventing and reinvigorated service as well as attention to cleanliness and food quality. It seems to me it's going through another phase of complacency and would benefit from a overhaul. It will likely be another 2-3 years before we try to eat there again, which is about as long as it takes to kind of forget about this most recent experience, whereas a positive experience would have brought us back much sooner.

We were greeted right away by one waitress and waited on by another one. We watched other people come in after us and get their food right away. We noticed our two orders were sitting up on the order shelf behind the counter and timed it as sitting there over 10 minutes. We finally asked the waitress to see if that was our order as it would probable be cold by now. I had the hot turkey sandwich which was cold and my friend had the two egg omelette which was very cold but she was too mad to send it back. The cheese on her omelette was hard and cold. I sent my meal back to get heated in the microwave and asked for more gravy which she told me I would have to pay extra for....I declined the extra gravy at that point. I was very upset. She said there were only two waitress on duty and half the restaurant was closed. It will be awhile before I go back.

the women wait staff were OVERLY makeuped, and stood around in the wait station complaining how little money they were making, NOT one of them did I see go back and either help the LONE cook or help the dishwasher!
