Foreign objects in my food. Old cooking oil made for a bad taste on the fries and cod.

I asked for toast to be served with my lunch and the waitress (Heather) kept asking if I wanted french toast. She treated me with little respect and made me feel as if I didn't know how to read the menu. Around 20 minutes after ordering our food Heather informs me they no longer have any potato pancakes and I would have to be served hashbrowns instead. We then waited for an additional 15 minutes to get our order while other guests arriving after us received their food. When we finally received our food I asked for a glass of milk which I NEVER received. I noticed that I was supposed to get apple slices with my lunch. When I asked about it she mentioned I don't get that unless I get the potato pancakes. I asked if I could get some jam for my toast and she points at a small cup of grape jam and tells me that is grape jam and I can use that. I asked Heather about all this and she says "My daughter is teething and I only got 3 hours of sleep. Would you like some free pie to make up for all this?". I understand people make mistakes. Please don't keep offering me some free pie in an attempt to make up for what you did. No amount of pie in the world can undo what happened in the past.

My husbands food was not hot, only warm but he ate it because we were starving and all the toast on 3 different plates wasn't warm enough to melt the butter on it. My daughter ordered a meal off the kids menu and changed the eggs from scrambled to over easy which is how the order was placed and when food was delivered her eggs were scrambled, our original server Nicole told us that it is a FDA law that children can not have over easy eggs. Our server got her correct eggs because I, as her mother, allow her to have the food she wants. When we asked for the manager to resolve our issues she told us as well that is a law that children can not order over easy eggs or any steak that is not well done. She credited us for one meal and $2.00 off the childrens meal only after she told us the General Manager was the cook and she had to check with her to see what she could do to help us. I travel all over, to many different states and have never been told about such a law. If it is a Shari's policy to serve children's food all well done it should be stated on kids menu

I ordered Biscuits and gravy for my meal. My girlfriend ordered a standard breakfast. My answers may seem confusing and here's why. Our server was fine..She was friendly and empathetic to my issue. When our food arrived, mine wasn't just like warm...it was cold. My girlfriend said hers was in the edge temp. wise, but she was ok. I got our servers attention and explained that my food was cold. She apologized and took my plate.I could hear her tell the kitchen that she needed a new order. After waiting at least 5 minutes and no food, our server returns and says" I tried to get my Manager to come and talk to you, but she wouldn't" ARE YOU SERIOUS!! If you have management like that in your restaurants..NO THANKS!! I'll go somewhere else. The second plate arrived a few minutes later...of course my girl friend was done...Not an acceptable visit at all, and just to be clear, our server did a good job...this is all about the lack of customer care shown by the manager.

We waited almost 45 minutes to get cold and undercooked food. My husband was told by our server that they were out of orange juice but that they had been thawing more since 7:am. She finally brought him a glass and told him that she had run it under hot water. She never checked in on our table. We found out that there was a staffing issue when the servers told people at the other tables that they could not take their orders for 10 minutes because the kitchen was backed up. Our plates of food were cold, hash browns not fully cooked, and English muffin toasted until blackened. We were unable to let our server know of our dissatisfaction because she never asked. Neither did the cashier. While I can appreciate the stress of working a Sunday rush while not having all hands on deck, I think that something could have been done to smooth things over. Even a friendly check in would have gone a lone way in making us feel that maybe we could come back. I would also suggest that the servers be made aware that discussing issues in front of customers is not what we want to hear.

It seemed as if our presence was more of a hinder than something good. Our hostesses and server seemed to be annoyed with our business. There were no baked potatoes available and the mashed potatoes served were very gross! All of the fried food items we ordered had a weird plastic taste. We were hungry so we ate what we could and left.

I walked in and took a seat at the counter closest to the servers station and every single server and the hostess walked past me and never acknowledge that I was sitting there. Gary the manager who was cooking because he was giving a meal break to the cook cook that was on shift did say hi. Gary made my prime rib perfectly and I have no issues with the food. Gary was the only one who asked if my meal was good. It seems to me that the service standards have dropped way down since I have worked there and even though I may sound like a very agitated ex employee I'm not I still visit my Lewiston location several occasions in a month.
