Above the Cannoli breakfast, there is an "add 1$" stuffed hash browns, I did not want the stuffed, just wanted regular hash browns and assumed that regular would be $1 and ordered that. After paying my bill, I looked closer at the bill and see that I was charged $3.69 for a small amount of hash browns. I spoke with the manager, who kept telling me something to do with the pricing of the stuffed hash browns being $1 more if I did something, never did understand what he was saying because he would not listen to my complaint, the most offensive thing about my contact with this gentleman was the stench from his cigarettes he had apparently just been smoking, highly unprofessional and very offensive to the senses, I chose to leave instead of having to stand near him anymore and smell him. This was an easy fix for him, he chose not to listen. I wondered why other people I work with will not go to Shari's, now I know, I was sucked into thinking the side of hash browns was only $1, then got overcharged (my opinion) and seriously doubt that I will visit a Shari's again in the near future.

I asked for a short stack of pancakes, 2 pancakes. I got them, they were great, small, but great. Then when I got my bill... $6.99... For TWO SMALL PANCAKES!! When I asked the waitress she said that if I had said "honor pancakes" it would have been half the price. But I said "short stack". Ummmm, okay, thanks? What a rip off!

Took too long to place order & get food. Server seemed befuddled by a request for hot water to drink. Order was highly inaccurate. Whole sandwichs instead of half. Wrong bread choice on both sandwichs. Too too long to get checked out because cashier was unable to find Marion Berry jam for sale. Service at this restaurant is an ongoing problem. I don't think we will be eating there again.

Ordered a salad that did not list cheese as an ingredient but cheese was pictured in the menu. I specifically asked for NO cheese and NO bread and received both. Because the service was so ridiculously slow, I did not have the salad remade.

I am a very frequent visitor (at least once a week). Lexi was my server and she seated me right away. She seemed very flustered and it was not busy and took a while to take my order (there was a long line at the register so I totally understand). When she took my order she did not ask what kind of toast I wanted and proceeded to take the customer's pie order (seated behind me). He asked two questions, what was her favorite and she replied coconut cream, but I don't know if it is a classic pie, and then he asked what marionberry was and she said I don't know, I have been asking that since I started here. I kept trying to get her attention, but she was fixated on the register by the kitchen. It took 15 minutes for her to bring my water, and when the meal came I had sourdough toast (I wanted rye) dripping in butter. 20 minutes later she returned and said did you want pie. I said yes but I would like to get an order of rye toast ( I was not able to flag her down before then), this has too much butter and I can't eat it, I would be happy to pay for it. 15 minutes later I got my toast, (they remade it with butter on the first re-try) and then proceeded to charge me for it.

The Canoli you have instead of the crepes are not nearly as good. The cin platter had dry rolls as one had hardly any syrup on it. It was much better when you used the cin toast. Over all we were disappointed in the changes of menu.

The food is usually okay, this time it was very good. BUT the service was stupid, looked like only one waitress and the assistant manager serving guests. Assistant Manager NOT friendly, service was slow, then sat waiting and waiting for someone to come by just so I could flag them down for a box for half my pie and just to get the bill.

Restaurant was half-full and the manager wanted us to wait for a table. The entire left side of the restaurant was closed off. Instead of waiting, I got the attention of another team member who seated us immediately. My question is, why are customers asked to wait for a table when there are MANY tables and booths available? I never have problems like this in western Washington, only in small towns. You need to train ALL your workers, not just the ones in big cities. My thinking is, small Shari's are ignored by your corporate trainers.

You always have to wait to be seated followed by another wait to oederfollowed by a longer wait to receive your food. Seems like you start with one server and then you never see them again and this instance another server came and ask what I ordered. But once you receive your food the hostess is right there to leave your check. That's one thing your company excells in. But then you wait and wait to pay the check and have to listen from the hostess about those stupid ugly pens that have flowers tape to them.
