We have been regular customers at this Sharis for 10 years. The quality of the food and the service has declined significantly over the last few years. The quality members of the waitstaff have left for other establishments. Tonight was the local Christmas parade, the restaurant was woefully understaffed, the management handled the large number of customers terribly. We arrived before the holiday event rush began, but we were treated neglectfully by the greeter when the restaurant was very quiet. We have virtually given up on this location.

On 10.15.16, I came in to purchase 2 pies, thinking they were the ones on sale for $9/ish ea., the 2 pies totaled $26.98. No one told me the ones I ordered were not the $9/ish pies that are advertised. I asked if I could return pies and get two for $9 ea., for I am on a budget, the waitress said only the manager can do this and he is busy and would be awhile, for he was cooking. I waited 25-30 min. The 2nd half of restaurant was empty. He never came. His name is Bret Hendersen per the waitress. This would have taken 2-3 minutes to credit my account. This was unacceptable to have someone wait for this kind of request and completely out of line. It makes me not want to go to Shari's ever again.

When asked to order, I specifically asked if I could substitute some toast for the meat in a dish because I was vegetarian. The waitress said that was possible, and then when the food was brought out, they told me it was the sampler with everything on it that I had requested, but didn't let me know that it was extra. I was suprised, and when asked, was told that there was no such thing as substituting for food and that I had to pay extra even if I requested to remove part of the food. While they seemed to be sorry, I was rather offended. Please just disclose that it will cost extra instead of bring out the food and other telling me and then giving me a rather high bill. Furthermore, whats wrong with me being vegetarian? Pretty sure that bread is a whole lot cheaper than meat, and you would still be making money off me if you took out the meat and gave me bread instead. Definetly will not be recommending this resturant to my friends. Sorry, you lost my business.

I ordered the alaskan fish and shrimp plate. my plate was missing the shrimp, had to wait up to 10 mins. for it.I ate the tasteless oily fish,( the portions were really small) while waiting for my shrimp. When the shrimp arrived it was overcooked, almost burned. the crust was so hard I peeled the batter of it. I complained to the waiter but nothing was done. When I paid, at the cash register, the waiter ask me about my meal and I shared with her my horrible ordeal. she apologized, and asked another waiter if there was a cook in the kitchen. Really? disgusted.aweful....aweful.

I placed an on-line order for carry out. The pancakes were burnt and the gravy had been poured onto the biscuits making them soggy. I asked that the pancakes be re-made and the cashier and another male employee or manager or lead were talking loudly in the back saying "well if she wants them raw then that's what she can have." When the pancakes came out, while standing at the check out counter, I had to open the containers and check with a toothpick to make sure they were not raw. With regards to the biscuits, the cashier stated that they always put the gravy on it for carry out and that I should request it separate when ordering on-line. I informed her that that was not an option when I placed my order. It is standard common restaurant knowledge that you do not put gravy on biscuits for carry out orders. I was in that restaurant for over 28 minutes dealing with inferior food concerns and distasteful employees. I will be demanding my money back, and I plan to not return to this Shari's.

Waitress had a bad attitude. She didn't ask us if we wanted anything to drink, we had to tell her that we wanted stuff to drink. She didn't ask if it was separate checks even though there was a lot of people at the table. Didn't ask if we wanted coffee, also there was a male waiter who seemed absolutely lost. He kept taking the wrong food to the wrong tables, he came to our table twice asking if it was our food. Not satisfied at all.

The pastrami sandwich ordered had only two thin slices of pastrami and looked absolutely nothing like the picture in the menu. It was embarrassing. I spoke to the person working the cash register voicing my complaint - this is not the Shari's I grew up visiting in Portland, Oregon with my parents. It is a large corporation and it shows. I will stick to Red Robin where I know there is truth in advertisement and you get not only good value but but most of all good quality in a meal - my wife's club sandwich was dry and tasteless - no mayo or so little it could not be tasted - you need to eat at your establishments and get a feel of whats happening or at least change those pictures to one that's real.

For starters, when we arrived at the location, there was no line for wait, and a number of tables uncloccupied, yet we were told that we would need to wait before we could be seated. We weren't acknowledged again until five minutes later when we were asked whether we had already been helped, and then proceeded to seat us. Once we ordered and got our food, the grilled cheese sandwich that we ordered wasn't even grilled. The bread was warm, but the cheese completely unmelted, which would explain why they actually had our order out in less than ten minutes.

First insedent July 2015. Your Resturant manager "Cindy" is the worst, worst manager a place can have. Second insedent. Hoping to have a better experience we came to sharis again. It was a group of eight today November 7, 2015. Scottie our waitress was amazing but at the time that we were paying Cindy over hears that we were telling Scottie that we wanted to split the check. Scottie was very nice Cindy comes over and starts screaming at Scottie for not splitting check before getting to register. We tried to explain to her that we had not told her. She took the receipt from Scottie hand and called her stupid. We were very mad and told her to chill we were not in a hurry. Cindy did not even took in consideration of what we were saying. Very unhappy with Cindy very rude and un professional. After we asked to speak to her about her attitude she just walked away leaving us with the word in our mouth and went to the back of Resturant to smoke. Never, ever coming back unless your manager is gone. Food very good but friendless very unpleasant.
