The server was rude, giving my hungry 1 year old nasty looks when she was upset, and made some very caddy comments to my children wheb she brought us our food. which i believe is maybe due to the fact that she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. The lack of staff made the overall experience here terrible.

All thought the waitress was pleasant, it took very long for the food to arrive, I suspect we were forgotten, in the sun room, and the food was barely warm. She didn't return to check on us, not even to see if we needed anything, like a refill. When she did return we had completed our meals, and had been waiting for awhile to get a container, for my wife's leftover food. When she appeared all she asked was "box?" and left again, and kept us waiting another 5 min. before bringing the box and bill. It took so long for the food to arrive, I was ready to walk out .

We were seated in the Keno section, then forgotten. Took quite a while to order then had to remind waitress for my tea (she said they were making fresh). The herb fries that come with the fish and chips were cold from the olive oil drizzle, would be better with oil warmed a bit. The eggs benedict were prepared nicely this time.

Too long to be seated at a non busy time. Too long to have payment rung up at cash register.

Our waitress, Diana G. was fantastic. She was friendly and did the best she could despite having too many tables/not enough support. She remained friendly and courteous to a very rude customer. A team member who appeared to be a supervisor (5'2", gold glasses and ponytail - name tag not visible) was good at informing our waitress that her other tables were waiting on food but did not step into to offer help. She appeared to be more interested in socializing with 2 regulars and their service dog than to help Diana. She was obviously rude and short with Diana. Her "friendliness" was not sincere.

The waitress was lacking in sophistication. She did not introduce herself and we didnt know her name until the end when she delivered the check. She just walked up and asked "ready to order?" We told her what we wanted and she just walked off. The whole service was like that. At the end, we took our check to the front but there was no cashier. After waiting about 5 minutes, I asked one of the staff members if they wanted me to pay or not. They took my credit card payment while shouting at another staff member about some bothersome customers. Very poor impression. Right up with Walmart in customer service and atmosphere. You're not even at Target level. You are at Walmart level. Sad!

As we were seated at our table, our waiter(who was new) did not know how to take our order, nor was his supervisor qualified to be training him. My companion asked for a certain type of soup, the response was we do not have it any more. We we received our food a pecan chicken sandwich looked like it was slapped together with no pride. The fish and chips, fish was over cooked and the fries were cold and tasteless. When it came to dessert, my companion asked for pecan pie, the response was we do not handle that type any more. Could not leave soon enough.

I took my siblings to Shari's for Valentine's dinner. I expected to wait a little bit because it was Valentine's Day, but I did not expect to be completely forgotten about. The wait to be seated was only about 10 or 15 minutes. This was fine. Our waitress, Sam, asked us to follow her to our table, and that was the only thing she said to us. She waited for us to sit down and then walked away. She did not ask us about drinks or say that she will be back. Nothing. We were seated in the very back part of the restaurant where they put big parties (there was only 5 of us). over the next 25 minutes Sam did not check on us. We sat there (extremely hungry by then) and waited. Finally I had had enough and was about to leave. That was when Kim noticed that we were leaving and rushed in to help us. She was VERY helpful. She apologized for the wait and explained that there was no excuse for how long we had to wait. She took our orders and let us pick out a free pie. She was the only reason that I did not leave. All of my young siblings kept saying how nice she was. She got us our food and drinks very quickly after that. She definitely saved our dinner. We really appreciated all that she did.

Price was raised again since last visit. Had trio and it was 9.49 on menu however they charged me a dollar more for my pie and did not say it would be more. The clam chowder was thin and cold, the bread on the sandwich was dry and crumbly tasted stale. The pancakes on the childrens plate were thick and tough my great granddaughter could not chew them so did not eat them. When asked for our pie with the meal the waitress said when I am not too busy I will bring it. Waited to be recognised for fifteen minutes then another five minutes before we were seated. I counted five vacant tables and they were not seating anyone even though there were several people waiting. I know that the minimum wage went up is why the prices went up but seniors on a limited income did not get a raise to make up for the higher prices and the smaller servings.

We used to be regular visitors to Shari's at least twice a week, but for many months now, we've seen the quality of the food take a turn for the worse. It's usually served cold, coffee is cold and old. Service is severely lacking. It's sad. Shari's was our favorite place to eat, but not any more. We will not be returning, which is a shame. We were well-known among the staff and it was like enjoying a meal with family.
