Won't come back any time soon

When one orders a steak (tbone) medium to medium well, and the steak shows up so raw it's hard to cut and tastes like liquid smoke was spilled on it, one's whole appetite goes away. How something can taste burnt and be raw at the same time is beyond me, but your cooks seem to have it down. I could see and pull tendon out of the meat. Then, my kid orders off the kids menu, chooses his side, and two sides show up and I am charged for the second side. Nice.

Greeted and seated in a timely manner, but once seated, it took almost 30 minutes to be waited on. Then, almost another half-hour for food service, and food was cool. Took food to waiter for warming. Once delivered, there was no butter (which I assume was removed for warming). Another waiter gave me a butter when I approached them. Coffee carafe when brought was half full and warm, not hot. No apology was offered for any of this. I will say, that was not the usual decent service we were accustomed to. Check was brought and processed in a timely manner.

considering all the staff that were on duty it took way to long. they had 1 person just walking around and I never did see her do much of anything. people were coming in and having to stand and wait for a table when there were several empty tables available. I thing there may be poor management at this Shari's Will not darken their door again!!!

Costumer service in extremely poor. Was not asked if there was anything else that they could get for me and did not check to see if all was ok. This seems to be a common trait with many of Sharis' restaurants.

It took approx. 40 min to be seated and when we were it was away from others which was good in one sense except we seemed to be out of sight out of mind in terms of service from that point on. We seemed to have difficulty getting someone to come back for refills on our water or to be able to explain our check had been divided wrong. Our area (the floor in particular) was quite dirty and some of our silverware didn't appear clean either. It was clearly a very busy day but it would have been better if more staff had been on hand so we could get service once we finally got a table.

there was profanity used by your waitress at 5am, she never came back to see if i need any thing else witch i did . but she seam to have more in portent things to do with her friends . and being loud an disturbing conduct.

Waitress talking story to another guest. Took too long to take our order. Didn't know any of the specials. Didn't ask us how was our dinner. She should wash dishes instead of being a server.

Our two orders were not taken promptly. Salad was not delivered promptly; was only about a minute before main course. String beans and sliced carrots were hard, and tasteless. Salmon was not cooked well enough; it may not have been hot enough to be safe. Baked potatoes were very good and correctly cooked. We couldn't eat the string beans and carrots. Cashier took off $5, but we did not like our two meals. We should have refused to eat the meals and refused to pay. This is the only time in 15 years that we have received this bad of meals at Sharis.

The restaurant was busy for 12:00 on a Sunday, which is understandable, but this waitress was not on top of her game. Brenda our waitress served my Grandmother her soup before her sandwich (with a trio lunch (about 10 minutes apart)), did not offer her a second cup of coffee, served her the sloppiest cut and broken piece of pumpkin pie (and didn't ask which of the two pumpkin pies she wanted), and once served the correct pie it was given in a to-go container. I enjoy Shari's, its a good local diner, I just wish we had received a different server.

The main manager who over sees the crew was absolutely appalling toward all the wait staff. I noticed the manager linda would down talk all the waitresses and waiters in front of the customers. I come the the south Salem sharis restaurant on a regular basis for several years. I have never been so appalled about how a manager can be so disrespectful. The atmosphere of the team has gone from all smiles when you walk in to a negative atmosphere. Anyone can tell the staff are not happy to be there.
