Shari's

The quality of Sharis in Hood River has gone down. The food takes way to long to arrive which is slower than any other place in town. For the most part the morning staff is nicer and more attentive than the crew at night.

The chicken in the Alfredo dish had the texture of a reconstituted meat...almost the texture of cartilage. There is no excuse for this: I buy Tyson Chicken strips...flash frozen and I defrost them partially, cut them up and use them in all kinds of dishes. They taste like fresh chicken and have the texture of fresh chicken. Why Shari's uses this inferior, yucky product is beside me! I took a bite and spit it out. My husband always orders chicken; he loves it. He left half the chicken on his plate. On the bright side, I loved my cod and shrimp, my son liked his milkshake and burger. I do think you should offer veggies rather than the fries with the cod. You are contributing to the overweight Americans with all the fried foods. Give us a break and offer steamed veggies with the fried fish. We have always liked Shari's and would love to give it a better rating.

My food was cold undercooked and late

I ordered the trio dinner. I was there on the wrong day to receive the soup I wanted (My fault). The cheese sandwich looked and tasted like it had been in the warmer since the day before and the cheese was hard and cold. The cheese on the outside of the sandwich was burnt and the sandwich was put together all twisted.

The order took longer than usual and the biscuits and gravy were cold! Not what I’d expect from Shari’s.

My first time responding, but not my first time at this Shari's. Every time we visit the servers are too busy to do anything more than take our order. Never follow up to check on us. Presentation of the turkey dinner was terrible, a sandwich cut in two with a little gravy on it? Mashed potatoes were good, but I had to ask for my cranberry sauce. I am not sure if I was to have a vegetable with my dinner, but you should consider adding it if not included. No one checked on us to see if we needed anything else. Our drinks never were refilled, we left thirsty. I came expecting to order pie, but since I did not receive any service except for our initial order, I never had the chance to order pie for dessert. You lost that sale on a pie, and your server missed out. If I would have had good service, I would have tipped well. Since I did not, they received a small tip, less than 10%. Even worse, you have now lost my business. Your restarant itself is clean and comfortable, but your service needs to improve along with your presentation on the plate when served.

Compared to other Sharis I have visited the portion size of fries I got with my meal was almost a joke. It was like they took one portion size and divided it between my and my friend's meal. The fries were hot but the portion size of both my sandwich and my friends was really small. Looked to me like they manager was trying to control his food cost by skimping on the meals they serve. Our waitress disappeared half way thru our lunch and didn't say anything to us and no one checked back on us. When she finally returned from her break and did check with us I had to ask for a drink refill. The restaurant was not busy at all. There might have been 6 other tables with customers eating there. I was not at all impressed with the food or service I received for the price I paid.

My toast was burned & not any butter or very little. Coffee was not hot. My husbands said his biscuits & gravy didn't have much taste. $25.96 Way to much money for a breakfast we didn't enjoy. Sorry about my answers but we were very disappointed.

Usually I order a breakfast sampler, this day the waitress told me that I could save a little money if I was to order the breakfast standard. When I get my bill it has breakfast standard $10.49 and there was another charge for S/BRNS for $3.69, now the breakfast sampler is $10.99 so how did you save me any money. Seems to me she cost me another three dollars that I should not have had to pay. I set there for 30 minutes and I didn't get my food, but I seen it on the shelf from the kitchen waiting to be brought to me. When I got the food it was cold, The pancakes were crusty on top like they were toast, they were so cold they wouldn't even melt the butter. I had five dollars on my Sharis card and I use that, and I thought with my five dollar discount I should be cheaper so when I got in my truck looked at my receipt and then I was really upset.

Didn't bring condiment requested waitress not available and had to ask another waitress to get it. Check was not correct, had an item from another order on our check instead of an item that we did order. We have had problems with this waitress before.
