Greeting and seating is slow at best with this restaurant at 7PM when we usually have dinner. Their quick to say I'll be with you in a minute as they finish chatting with customers or co=worker. Salmon dinner was way over seasoned and overcooked. Salad looked like weeds and dried out. Ran out of drinks way before meal arrived and no waitress refill, they had other work to do but not with customers but set up stuff. kids ordered sundaes after dinner and at the same time I ordered there Friday special prime rib dinner to go. took 25 min. to get to go order which was all fat... Not coming back to The Dalles restaurant till you get a handle on your restaurant.

Where to start. When we walked in we were not greeted as the "server" was busy with her boyfriend. After we got seated we ordered drinks. That sat empty for 15 minutes before the were finally refilled. We ordered food. I got a Denver omlett with bacon instead of ham with stuffed hashbrown no bacon. My boyfriend got an order of biscuts and gravy. When the food arrived I noticed there was no green onions on my hashbrown I asked my server she said she didn't know but she would bring me aome... that never happened. Then my boyfriend took a bite of his biscuts and gravy that were ice cold . Then I m prices there were no peppers in my Denver omlett. I informed the server who said she would get the manager but guess again... that manager never came. They took the meals off my ticket but thays besides the point. The manager didn't even check or follow up with us.. I will never come back to this sharis worst possible service ever

Sat for quite a long time without anyone approaching me. Usually, the person who seats you asks if you want a drink; this did not happen. No one acknowledged me for almost 10 minutes and when the waitress did notice acknowledge me she did apologize, saying she'd be right back. However, she then went to the booth next to me and, while giving them their tab, visited for several minutes as if she might have known them personally. She then walked away. The next time I saw her she was bringing orders to nearby customers. Afterward, she finally came up to me to take my order.

This is the worst experience we've ever had at a Shari's; too long to get seated (only four booths in use at the time), much too long to get served our breakfast (simple egg meal took 25 minutes and was cool when we finally got it), asked for Tobasco and waited so long I got up and got it myself. All in all a very poor choice to dine there.

Very unfriendly staff. Talked among themselves without any acknowledgement. No friendly greeting, stacked up line at entry with plenty of seating available, but slow moving staff. Many un-cleared tables. Overall unpleasant experience. Food portion was surprisingly small. Coffee was nasty.

Lunch trio, cheese sandwich unappetizing on sight, friends chicken sandwich, very dry, no mayo or other flavor, Soups were barely warm, certainly not at the SAFE 140 degrees. 10 minute wait to be acknowledged and seated, plenty of seats open. Long wait for order taken, even longer for meal to come. Bill took extra time to pay, confusion on how to correct a computer input error. We have in the past received good service and tasty food at this location. We're sad that we won't want to try this resaurant again in future.

It was horrible from the beginning. It took over 15 minutes to get seated, and it wasn't busy at all. Then it took quite a bit to have our order taken. The server just stood there waiting for one of us to order, never asked us anything, nor said hello. After that it took another hour before we decided we waited too long for nothing. We ordered side salads thankfully because my kids were starving!!!! The waitress never checked on us in the meantime. We got up to pay for our drinks and salads, no one apologized, they didn't offer anything. Very disappointed. We left hungry and with kids who were starving by that time.

This is one of our more local Sheris and we have tried to give them our business from the time it opened. The first few visits we chalked up to newness. Then as time went by, every time we tried we always said "never again" due to poor service. Food was always ok but service lacks care. It seems highly disorganized and understaffed even though there seem to be plenty of employees moving about. We have eaten at many Sheris but this one as of now is off of our list. I'm sorry for the bad review, but maybe it will be of help to this restaurant. Also we have noticed that when this Sharis open it was well attended. We have watched as they have fewer and fewer customers as time goes by. Apparently we are not alone in our dissatisfaction. Thank you

Wife ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables. Very cold, looks like they came off someones else plate. Vegetables look like they were cooked several times, gross looking. Sent back to be reheated, took a long time to get back. I ordered 120z prime rib. medrare, with red mashed potatoes and turkey gravy. Prime rib was as cold like it came out of the refrigerator, mashed potatoes cold, gravy was warm, not hot. Prime rib had no color in it. Looked more like Pork then beef. Sent back, cooked comented that it was warm to him. Got a second plate, still cold, ugly looking Prime Rib, sent back a second time, came back the same. Server would ask manager to take off the bill. They did, said I would go to McDonald's for McChiken sandwitch as I know I would get a hot meal there. Server also said they were getting a lot of complaints about the food that evening. Tore up my Sharis card there when I paid the bill, vowing never to return to a Shari's again. For a Friday night this place was dead. Lousy cooks, lousy management. Chef Ramsy would have kicked them all out.
