Shari's

The salmon was "strong fishy" and overcooked. The vegetables were from frozen not fresh so the beans were tough and they had too much oil on them. The baked potato had dark spots in it; the skin on it was soggy, not crisp. I was not given a roll or butter.

We have been coming to this Shari's for several years. This time it took the longest to get our drinks. Then it took even longer to get our waitress to get our order. They did not seem to be very busy at the time we were there. Our waitress never came back to check if we needed refills on our drinks. We had to flag her down. I don't know if she was a new waitress or what. She acted like she was thinking of other things than her job.

The room in which we were seated was terribly cold...I asked to be moved to the inside of the Restaurant where it might be a bit warmer. There were no tables in my servers section but, she then turned up the heat across from us which made it a bit more comfortable. Our food arrived semi warm. We waited a long time for refills on hot water w/lemon and coffee. Not a pleasant time out for lunch.

I had a soup, sandwich special. The soup (cheddar brocolli) was very good. The sandwich on marbled rye was not. The bread was dried out, not fresh. I ate it anyway.

It's always really awkward when you enter an establishment and wait to be seated and the staff is walking around and talking to each other and ignoring you. If it wasn't for the fact my daughter wanted a slice of pie so badly I would have left. Customers should be greeted and seated in an almost empty restaurant instead of being ignored for conversation. Then when we received out pie (we only ordered pie and drinks) my slice looked like it was the last piece and two people wanted it so they cut it in half- it was laughable how small the piece was.

Not only was the bun soggy, but the bag also had condensation on it so much so i had to turn out the bag and dry it out before i stored it.

My server, coughed on her hand and handled my payment method without washing her hands, and touched my both my pies. She was not very friendly and seemed annoyed that she had to help me place a small to-go order, including when I said thank you, she replied "uh huh yea." I visit Shari's regularly and always have great service, not today I guess.

just the booth was way to close to the kitchen, we could actually feel the breeze from the kitchen door every time it opened. we could see behind the counter.
