The restaurant had only one waitress taking care of all the tables at the restaurant. I have noticed that with several local restaurants that the amount of staff seems to be an issue.

Our lunch was very good, with good service. Our problem came at check out. We stood at the register for 5 minutes before anyone helped us. Then the girl had a really hard time trying to take $5.00 off our ticket. I had a 5 dollar off on my Shari's card I was using. After eating it took a very long time to finally be able to exit. I don't know if they were short handed or what.

The waitress was very rude. I asked her about my food and why it was only a half sandwich and her answer was you can order the other half for 2.10 more. There was no mayo or anything on the sandwich. I had to go look for someone to get it. The bred was dry and stale and no one seemed to care.

When I ordered the stuffed hash browns in the past, they have often been so crispy I can't eat the inside for the outside. This time, I asked the waitress to make the hash browns softer. As a former cook, I think what happened is he/she just didn't cook them long enough. A solution would be to set a lid on them, letting the steam make them soft but still cooked. The hash browns were not cooked, even tho' the outside was suitable. Also, nothing was very hot. I took a to go box meaning to try and fix them at home. I ended up just tossing them for easier grocery shopping. Hash browns are tricky. But if you use the reconstituted kind, perhaps letting them sit in the water a bit longer would help.

We were charged $26 for a $70 meal. I stood outside for a cigarette before leaving the restaurant grounds, and commented that it was very inexpensive. After checking my receipt, I found that I had paid for another guest's meal and not mine. I went back in to use the restroom and then remedy the situation, and the waitress (Betty) tried to follow me into the restroom to (apparently) demand my full payment. THAT was the least pleasant aspect of the entire visit. I understand that mistakes are made, and I don't mind taking my time and paying what I rightfully owe, but for her to follow me around to make sure I fixed her mistake was inappropriate.

The food was good but the service made it so I feel I would not come here again. The hostess was extremely rude and we never had a waiter. Three different people took our order, gave us our food, and brought us the check. We were out of water and no one ever asked us how the food was. There was a nice lady named Angie who finally noticed us. I would have left her my tip and no one else. I just wish the hostess would have made eye contact or said hi or smiled. She acted like we were all an annoyance. I understand being stressed and busy but it's important to make guests feel welcomed.

Took forever to get refills. Took forever to get our food. Took forever to get my pie after my partner had gotten his.

I ordered soup, coffee & a piece of pie. I was in the establishment for over an hour. Server was NOT attentive. She appeared more interested in talking with family/friends that had come in. Had to ask for refills on my coffee. I felt that it took too long to get my plate of soup as they were not busy. had to wait for my bill. I would recommend any server to be friendly with customers but this person appeared to be more interested with family/friends than her customers. I feel that spending an hour or more for a plate of soup, coffee and a piece of pie was way too long. Server informed me that the pie (special from email) was Apple only. According to the email, I should have been able to name the type of pie I wanted.

Waitress did well. Took 40-45 minutes to receive order after order placed. This Sharis usually performs much better

On a Thursday night, roughly 8PM, Lancaster St South, Salem OR we waited over an hour for 6 breakfast type plates to be served, two of which were kids pancakes. Food was delivered in increments of two plates, spread over roughly 10min about, but not beginning until roughly 70min after being seated. Kids pancakes were cold once served. The next two meals were served and also partially cold. At this point I went to the front and asked for a manager to see our table. The restaurant was not busy by my observations, roughly every third table at the perimeter seated and no customers in the middle free space seating or in the adjacent sun room area. The manager did apologize but tried to reason that the staffing issue was not her fault. I countered with staffing of the restaurant surely wasn't my responsibility to plan for either. Once we spoke the manager went to the cook and our last orders were delivered with short wait and hot. Most of the meals were comp'd although for the wait, there was no additional apologize or offer for additional cocoa the children had by now ran out of after patiently waiting without causing a stir.
