We traveling and don't have a Shari's where I live and I wanted the cinnamon french toast and they were out of cinnamon rolls so I couldn't order it. What I did order was good but was looking forward to the french toast.

We were celebrating a friend's birthday dinner at Shari's. They ordered the salmon salad which they said was okay (a little dry). I ordered the shrimp omelet which had only two very tiny shrimp on top. I usually meet friends at Shari's for breakfast and have always been satisfied with the food and service. This is the first time there for dinner. I probably should not have ordered an omelet for dinner; however, that is what I wanted. It was overdone. From the time we were ordering the noise and clambering of used dishes were so loud I had difficulty hearing the waitress while ordering our meal. The noise continued throughout our meal. I know some noise is to be expected but employees should be aware that customers are dining nearby. I do not believe I will rush back to Shari's for dinner. Maybe for breakfast.

My husband order the prime rib, after he tasted, very difficult to cut and chewing, leaving on the plate, the onion ring is very very oily and dark colour, they means the oil is used for a long time, the mash potato is so bad. He leave it on the plate and told the waitress, she only laughing, but nothing to do, even say sorry.

I got a take out order and the order was wrong. I didn't notice until I was home. Unfortunately I couldn't even eat what they gave me because of my allergies.

The server was not attentive and I had to get up from my seat twice during the dinner to get her attention. She was just too busy to do other things.

I asked for a booth for the two of us, with 4 ready booths available, but we waited while the server/hostess was setting-up chairs & tables for a large party who mostly hadn’t arrived yet and wasn’t ready to be seated. Finally the manager appeared and seated us. We weren’t the only “small” party that was waiting. We both ordered Sirloin steak platters. Hers: medium rare; eggs “over medium”; hold the hashbrowns; sourdough toast w/ hot tea to drink. Mine: rare, “black and blue”, still “mooing”; scrambled; biscuits & gravy w/ a diet soda. Although her steak was about 50% larger than mine, their average size was about ½ the size of the steaks in your website menu photo. My first steak was only palm size – from wrist to base of fingers – pathetic! Hers was cooked “rare”, so we traded, but mine (traded to her) was also equally “rare”, so it was sent back for more cooking. These “Choice” steaks were the toughest meat we’ve eaten in years! The meat seasoning has changed, & is nasty! My eggs were not light or fluffy, but were overcooked, as in “browned”! BTW – the biscuits and gravy includes only one “biscuit”! Our server was adequate but not nearly exceptional! Makes Denny’s look better!

The coffee is way to strong for us older people my be good for truck drivers. The cheese on the omelette was not melted and the cinnamon roll was hard to chew .

I ordered the Country Fried Steak and my wife ordered the Salmon. Both meals were barely warm and were cold by the time we had finished eating. My meal was very bland and swamped in gravy. The vegetables for both our meals were obviously frozen from a packet and had that thawed texture. My dinner roll was one of those that comes as a twelve pack all joined together. Probably from Safeway. My ordered coffee was also not recently brewed and was also cold after one cup.

Manager didn't smile 1 time. He had some sort of argument with our waitress where we could witness. Our waitress was great, but she was the only person serving food. Coffee was not hot, the club sandwich order sat on the pass for 10 min before being served, and had fries instead of tater tots, waitress did bring hot tots though. The sandwich was made with just cheap white bread, so made for a chintzy meal. Not many fries were served with any meal. Managers attitude was the reason for us being so totally dis-satisfied with our experience. He needs training on what it takes to manage. First, SMILE, next treat your employees with respect. Karen our waitress was doing the best she could, since she was the only one, other than the cooks who were serving the customers. She deserves applause for putting up with the managers bad attitude
