Shari's

I asked if Shari's had cheesecake and they said "yes", so I order one last week to be picked up today. They said it was $34.99 and I thought that was a little expensive, but I ordered it. I picked it up today and this FROZEN 52oz. 9 inch cheesecake came from California. Cut into skinny, stingy, little pieces. I would be embarrassed to serve that to anyone at my dinner party tomorrow evening. I was at Costco later and there was a freshly baked 72oz. cheesecake for $13.99. And it is very good!! I will not recommend Shari's to anyone, nor do I want anything from Shari's every again!! Kim Gorham

We ordered the turkey dinner based on the description listed on the menu - fresh cooked and sliced at the cafe. However the turkey had been reheated the the grill and came over cooked and dry. Not what I would call a turkey dinner. When we mention it to the waiter, his response was that was the way they did it. I overheard him tell the table behind us, who had inquiried about the turkey dinner, and he mentioned the grilling of the turkey - needless to say none of them ordered it!

The "potato pancakes" (which used to be good at Shari's a long long time ago) were hash browns with no flavor, no onions in them. Thank heavens I asked for chopped green onion on top. The eggs benedict was covered in an overly-lemon what tasted like a package mix. My husbanda says his traditional breakfast was OK, but then, he likes Denny's, too. We brought the pie home, he says it was good. Your prices are ridiculous. For this price, I will saunter up the street to the Birch Door, where this would have been delicious and more than enough to have leftovers to take home (you should try them) Skylark's also serves a decent breakfast for $4.95 on weekdays. And your coffee is not good - strong, but not good.

1: my friend and I asked for a table suitable for my wheelchair and her walker. We were offered a booth! Duh! Not going to work Son! The server did not move a chair out to make room for my wheelchair nor her walker. When we received our food I asked for hot sauce for my eggs and more water so I could take my medications I never got my water refilled. I waited a very long time; finally to summon a different server. I asked where our server was and was told he had gotten of work and gone home! He did NOT tell us he was leaving nor who would be serving us. My food(eggs etc) were cold, the gravy and biscuits were terrible! Bland and soggy! No we will not be going back!

The pasta chicken contained some sort of weird inedible substance that was supposed to be chicken. I've been eating chicken for over 60 years and I never saw anything like this springy, chewy tasteless stuff. I chewed on one piece for a while and spit it out. I tried a couple more and they were the same. I sent the entire supply of "chicken" back. I told my wife it might be some sort of roadkill or a new life form. The manager gave me $5 off the total bill which was okay but I wish I'd kept a few pieces to have them analyzed. When I paid my bill, I asked the server if they had been able to ID the "chicken" yet. We used to love Shari's but it seems to be going downhill and this episode cured us from eating a meal there. The pie was good and the server was fine.

I attempted to order a single bellini to have with dinner. I was refused my drink even though I provided identification proving my age all because my license is portrait layout instead of landscape.

We visited this restaurant several weeks ago, and my stepdaughter ordered a Belgian waffle. It had a hair in it and at that time the staff took care of our issue satisfactorily. We returned today, again she ordered the Belgian waffle, and AGAIN it had hair in it. We will not be returning.

Appetizer was brought with only 1 sauce. Then very shortly after main entrees arrived and waitress asked if she could bring us anything else and I said"yes, our salads please". She brought them about 10 minutes later while pur dinners sat and got cold and did not once offer to bring fresh hot dinners. Only refilled water for ONE of us AFTER we were done eating. Also sat us back in a corner behind 2 tables of high school kids being loud and obnoxious rather than seating us on the other quieter side of the restaurant.

My handicapped husband and I walked in to the Shari's Restaurant last night (where we have gone regularly) and waited and waited for someone to seat us. So many times there's no one at the front desk and last night was the final straw. It took us 15-20 minutes before a waitress came to seat us. We right away asked to see the manager. Finally he came over and we expressed our frustration. His response was the lack of staff and we felt he didn't respond as we expected! We are members and earn the points there - so do expect much better service! Thank you for your assistance.

Ordered bacon and eggs some of the worst cooked bacon I have ever received in a restaurant Told both server and manager and said ya ok I'll let general manager know. Only order the cook had was ours hard to believe he can't cook 3 strips of bacon and that they could have cared less.
