Besides the inattentiveness of our server, I suffered severely from food poisoning. It hit me within an hour of leaving your establishment and lasted well into the night. It took me several days to completely recover.

Extremely under staffed turned into horrendous service. Also, your milkshakes used to be excellent, but it appears that you changed how you have them made. Unlike before, and milkshakes are now made by mixing one of your pies with vanilla ice cream. This creates a milkshake that is contains slimy chunks and a disgusting texture. The flavor is also not what one would expect.

Our last meal was a couple of years ago and it was poor then. We were in the area and thought we would try it again. The salad had no lettuce, just bitter green weeds sometimes used for garnish. The salad portion was very small, the baked potato was good but only served with butter. No sour cream, bacon bits, chives or anything else was offered. The steak was very small and overcooked and the chicken fried steak was dried out. No vegetables or bread was served with the meal. Very poor for the high price charged. We will not be back.

I've been going to breakfast at this Shari's decades. I was surprised yesterday at the new menu. The prices went up and the selections went down. My favorite breakfast is gone. The toast was old bread and hardly warm. It must have sat too long before being served in that everything was lukewarm. And then I get to pay more for it!! Such a deal. And the coffee was lukewarm...yuck. And I get to pay $2.49.......more than I pay at Starbucks! That stale, lukewarm coffee is not worth $2.49! So.......I'm disappointed. I know some of the staff and enjoy visiting with them. The only reason I would go back is for their sake. But I probably won't. Your new menu is a disaster. I don't believe you can compete with the many restaurants in Bellingham with this hike in price and loss of selections. I'm disappointed and concerned for Shari's.

We placed an order for no vegies on mushroom swiss burger. ESPECIALLY no onions. There they were. We waited a very long time to be served, considering the few patrons at the time. I tried three times to get the waitresses attention as she walked by or left the table next to us. She was oblivious to me. All I wanted was my soup. When she brought my lukewarm food she said sorry, I forgot your soup. Do you want it now or what. I said I don't want it now. You can take it off my bill. She brought it to me in a to go carton, and said she took $5.00 off my bill. I thanked her. Then when my husband found the onions she said want us to make you another. He declined because of the time we had already waited. Another person came over and said they would take $5.00 off. They took one $5.00 off and we felt unwelcomed there. We are not complaining folks, but this was AWFUL!

My soup was barely lukewarm. Can’t get waitress attention, so got the man setting tables to heat it up. My mashed potatoes and veggies are lukewarm. I asked could my food be heated, took 17 min. waitress never came for water/pop refrill. our bills charged 1 pot roast for my wife and me 2 chicken fried steak’s. Was told it was for bookkeeping purposes!!! I wanted to complain, but wife said lets just get out of here and I don’t want to come anymore. We didn’t even get our water refilled. Very poor service.

Arrival - restaurant nearly full, 1 other couple waiting. Signed in (2nd on list). Several people came in immediately after we arrived, they signed in also, and most of them were seated before I registered my complaint. Only after my complaint were we seated and to their credit, there was an apology offered to us. Too little, too late! 2nd issue - my companion went to use the rest room during our restaurant visit and found it closed, not because it was in use, but locked and not available! Once again, there was an apology offered to her but absolutely nothing else! We have been regular customers at this restaurant for quite some time and normally have received excellent service. We usually visit this location 4-5 times per month and have never been treated so poorly. Yes, they were busy, but that, in my opinion, is no excuse for the treatment received.
