A screaming kid at a volume so loud I could hear them over my headphones at full volume for the entire length of visit. Management did nothing about problem. Even staff were annoyed. But managment did nothing. If I screamed liked that I would be thrown out. A parent is responsible for a childs behaviour in publc. If they cannot control their children they should not be in public. I paid $36 dollars for a meal that I could not eat. My husband and I could not even speak to each other over the noise and I got a screaming headache off of it. We ended up just leaving our plates where they were. And the managment did nothing. She just rolled her eyes at me, as if I was unreasonable to ask for a certain level of acceptable public behaviour.

When you have a "No smoking within 10 feet" sign on the front door and an employee stands 5 feet away blowing smoke, you've lost us as customers. This Sharis is right on our way home, but we will not be stopping here again. (Add to this that it took forever to get our check and then the same employee comes in without washing to take our money and you couldn't pay me to go back to that location.)

Over the years we have had good experiences at Sharis. However, the past 2-3 years the price has increased, the selections have decreased and the way the food is prepared have us seriously thinking about NOT frequenting Sharis in the future. Tonight I had the hot turkey dinner which customarily is a slice of bread with a DECENT portion of turkey on top with gravy NOT on wheat bread and turkey NOT grilled. Mashed potatoes are usually russets not reds with no flavor. The whole meal was not up to any level of quality. We have also found that the breakfast menu is becoming just as bad ie: the ham omelette doesn't have enough ham to taste. All in all, Sharis is not the enjoyable place to eat that it used to be and even the waitresses are not attentive and personable like they used to be (we were even "FORGOTTEN" at a recent meal in Hood River. I am shocked at the serivce I got at this Shari's. You guys need to work on this bad! When I walked through the door I am used to being greeted with a "hi welcome" but did not happen. I asked to have table 29 or 30. They sat me at 29. I saw the new manager and figured he would ask me how things are going. But not one time did he even look at me. I always had to ask for a refil I never was asked how my food was. ( mind you training is 2 bite) After I was done with my food I started a timer. By the time I finished it was 38 minutes..... I would say the managers name but never came over to say hi or anything. No one in fact said there name to make it personal. I go into shair's to have that personal touch that was not there at all. I know how bad these servays are to the server but everyone needs to take a step back and fix the problems.

It took a long time for the waitress to arrive and take our order. She was not pleasant. She did not apologize for our wait. She brought out the incorrect soup. She forgot the milk shake and had to be reminded. Did not apologize for those errors. The food was not very warm. The Mozzarella appetizer was not good, the sticks were over-cooked and the sauce tasted old and the top layer was crusty. The spinach omelet was cold, small and tasted like watery tasteless eggs. The milk shake came at about the same time as our check. The shake was the only thing that tasted decent. The waitress was not friendly. When the hostess asked how things were at the end and we told her that we did not have a good experience she just shrugged her shoulders. The chicken noodle soup was the worst soup we ever tasted. This was the incorrect soup. we wanted the Potato. When the waitress finally brought out the potato she left the chicken noodle on the table. We tried it and it was awful.

I WAS satisfied with my experience at Shari's. We had the best server we have ever had at Shari's: Kimbe-8. She was friendly, knowledgable, efficient, and attentive.
